How is parking for the club? Any suggestions?
plenty of parking in the lot..no need to valet..if not theres a plaza to the next to it with tons of parking too...just make sure u dont park in the residential in the back of the club
I wish I could go! I need to be @ work at 8am and no one wants to switch with me

Got todays GDBC on CD for the drive and am ready for Victor/Gareth from 10-1! Long drive, but Im sure these two will be worth it, plus a new club in OC sounds nice. See everyone soon

All I can say is WOW. Last night Gareth Emery brought so much energy to Avec... a huge contrast to JOC last Saturday. I loved how he handled the music stopping because of the dead CD.
It's great to be able to drive just a couple miles to see top-notch trance. Now I know how you LA TAs feel about Circus.
I saw more Circus folks last night than I normally see at Circus. Can hardly wait for this Saturday... a 4 hour set... maaannnnnn.
Thanks for the track list! I wrote the lyrics of some songs that I liked but didn't know the track name. You got them all.

He played See The Sun in between Chimera and Lonely Girl, and he played the First State Remix of Waiting. That tune he dropped near the end, I think right before On A Metropolis Day was amazing.
Did anyone catch the vocal track he played near the middle, it sounded like Justine Suissa but I'm not sure, I think its a new track.
Thanks Malia! GM was awesome and this place was minutes from where I live. Too bad I'm going to miss his set on Sat.
Hope he plays Tuvan on Saturday, with a FOUR HOUR SET, how could he not?!!!
I'm like a rabid dog (though the non-biting variety) everytime I hear Gareth's remix of this track. If not familiar with it, it's the first song in the TrackItDown player on my MySpace page (link below).

LMD, the promoters of Circus Disco on Saturdays, sent me an email with a free pass for this special event at Avec. Free is good and to see such a high ranked DJ is even better. Gareth is spinning at Circus Disco Saturday 3/6/10 and presale tickets are $25. This special event at Avec saved me a trip to Hollywood and a few bucks. The crowd that Thursday night was quite diverse. A huge difference from the Saturday I came where it was pretty much all Asian. The crowd was mixed between Asians, Latinos and White. Diversity is good. Diversity is also funny. Lets just say you can tell who were the regular trance-heads in the crowd. They were the ones not wearing the little black dresses. Little black dresses are nice, but they really don't belong at a LMD event. The DJ booth was the ring of fire that they brought from Circus. The sound system here still kind of sucks with distortion. So there you have it. Just when I was ready to write Avec off, they brought me back with a top ranked Trance DJ. If Avec continues to have nights like this with good music and a diverse crowd, I'll be back. |
Last night was really good. Once you are in the club it is very nice, and the entrance walk to the dance floor is very cool. It reminds me a lot of Body English at the Hard Rock in LV, which is now called Vanity, I think. The bartender was good and efficient.
The crowd was pretty good and Victor/Gareth killed it. Gareth seemed to be in a great mood and had a lot of fun on the decks, dancing and lots of smiles. He played a lot of familiar tunes and it was a blast being with the TA family up front dancing. A lot of fun, thanks Johnny and LOC and thanks Malia for the tix Sat, best 20 bucks spent ever lol Til Sat and the 4 hour journey 
Fun times indeed! Hope to see some more trance events at Avec
We have Gareth at Voyeur tonight if anyone is in the mood for a SD trip.
I will definitely be in attendance at Circus too!!

The only negative thing about the night is that me and all my friends had ringing in our ears today. I used ER20s and they didn't seem to help much.
GE better play Tuvan tomorrow. How could he not??
