Are you guys insane? Of course I own a fucking pair of turntables, I still buy vinyl you rejects
I've been djing for 11 years now, this month actually marks the 11th anniversary
The buttons just solidify the love and affection I have for my lifestyle. This is pretty much do or die for me right now, I'm 26 (old in DJ years mind you) and I've got to start to hustle if I want to make something of myself. I'd say I'm doing pretty well

| Originally posted by jennypie Yay to tattoos, love 'em! I got my tattoos because I liked the idea of "personalizing" myself with art. My only regret is that I started with a couple small ones instead of planning out one huge piece, but w/e. Working on that now. |
Spot on, as always.

i only really agree with meaningful tattoos. i would like to get one, but only if something really stands out to me as something i could deal with and have good reason to permanently ink onto myself.
jenny,
you can always add onto small pieces and some times full sleeves comprised of small pieces actually tend to look better and are more thought out then one large piece like mines. hindsight, I wish I could have added in a lotus somewhere in my sleeve, i do have a spot on the inside bicep close to my arm pit and we all know that's gonna be like death but it's in heavy consideration and some much needed color to my sleeve me thinks.
Oh yeah I know...I just mean that when I got the small pieces I wish I had thought of them in terms of adding/growth instead of stand alones. I had stuff added onto my Soul two years ago, and about a month ago I got pretty much half my back done with dogwoods (which still aren't finished). My goal is to finish the dogwoods and add in some chrysanthemums and roses. Dogwoods and chrysanthemums because they are November flowers (I was born in Nov.). Also, I was born in B.C., and the provincial flower is dogwood. Roses, well that's just to bring some cohesion to my heart+soul, which also has a rose.

My bf hates tattoos, lol. He was pissed when I came home with the dogwoods.
I like them, although I can't picture anything important enough to dedicate a permanent spot on my body to it for the rest of my life (unless I have a child, maybe).

Purrty. That said, a) I can imagine it will not end well for this girl if a Yakuza would happen to see the tattoo, b) it's gonna look terrible when she gets older and c) it must've hurt like hell.
The back is actually one of the least painful places to get a tattoo because of the way nerve endings are distributed there.
do you have a recent picture of your back?

I love it when you see utter scummers with shit tattoos they got when they were like 15 walking around thinking they are baller for it, all the while looking like a ****.
Classic.

| Originally posted by jennypie I guess. Depends on the person and their pain threshold. Honestly, I find anything longer than half an hour and it's just a dull numbness. I personally can't really describe the process of getting a tattoo painful. I fell asleep when I was getting my back done, lol. |

It felt like a cat scratch but for a much longer duration. Eventually the actual pain wears off and you just feel this kind of heat & vibration from the needle. It's more annoying than painful
That's really cool Bas, I dig it. And shit, 26 is old in DJ years? I wish I would have started before I was 21
