Haven't been to Guverment in almost a year, the night was alright at most. No Line when I got there a bit after ten. Only the Koolhaus was open because they were still setting up the Guv and we could not go to the other rooms till after 11 pm ?!?!
Once the main room opened M&S took the decks and started off nice slow and quickly picked up the pace with some rocking tunes. The next Dj's were just awful with the beepy electro BS that was making my ears bleed so I spent the next few hours wondering between KH, Skybar and the Drink.
Axwell came on and played a great set a little harder then expect but had a really good flow and he looked like he was having a great time working the crowd. He played some SHM classics that made my night. Spent a little bit of time in KH and saw diggers who played a pretty good set.
To be honest I wasnt feeling the vibe at all anywhere in the complex no one was really dancing even in the spaces were there was room to dance, it was more of a most pit and people pushing their way from one place to another. Maybe it was me or the fact that it was all access party on a Sunday but things just didn't feel the same as when I use to come out before. It was nice to see a few a few familiar faces who I haven't seen in a while and it was nice to meet niftynarcotix. Its really sad and pathetic is that some people are still holding on to a grudge on something that happened over two years seriously move on with life. The place was packed with a lot of kids who seemed to careless about the music and I honestly felt old being there on Sunday. I really wished the Gallery was open and that the night was more organized by the staff but I can understand how that can be difficult with how many people were there.
I honestly dont think Ill be making plans to go back to Guv anytime soon.

EDIT: Okay it's apparently Robert Babicz-Pink Trees according to the Youtube comments. Can't find it on Beatport. As usual, Digweed is playing unreleased shit! |

I will never understand anyone who chose to be in Guvernment instead of Koolhaus.

| Originally posted by Jayx1 guv was completely set up. We were ready to go at 9pm! But why scatter the crowd at the beginning which would only delay the party vibe? Staggering the opening is a very smart move as is staggering the closing. It was VERY organized |

| Originally posted by chinamon who cares who people pay to see? if they like axwell then they like axwell. if they like markus schulz then they like markus. there is no need to be a dick about it just because YOU didnt enjoy axwell. the best way to party is to be open minded with the music and educate yourself. |
I think most people here agree KH > GUV
kh had better a/c, better sound and a bit more room.
I actually thought the lighting in KH was really interesting and was a good change from the lazors and light setup in guv (no offense jayx1)
Also I would like to this happen... a second rooftop entrance. That or bigger doors. Skybar was renovated but why not put two entrances and like a big wall splitting it up into two sections like in Space (Miami i think). this would be sweeet.

Jesus fuck, the amount of musical elitists on this forum is retarded.
Anyways...
Kissy Sell Out - Gotta admire his enthusiasm, energy and crowd interaction. Quality was lacking at certain points, do like his use of uk underground/garage sounds, really brought back some memories. Also had lots of wobble. His set really picked up near the end, great way to start off the night in Guv.
Afrojack - was expecting big things of him after hearing tons of his mixes, but despite all the equipment failures, he failed to deliver the goods. Track list was MEH, but he is a presence.
Axwell - Basically who I came to see. Boy did he not disappoint. He was everything I expected and more, he even had a few non-believers converted by the end of the night. If theres anyone that can play with your emotions its Axwell, he loves his music, he loves the crowd, he loves what he does and gave it his all. Really, words cant describe how satisfied I was
Digweed - Saw about an hour of his set, really slow start, but theres no denying his quality. I heard his set really picked up but I was gone by 6am. Would definitely see him again though, just not while completely exhausted.
Wasnt in KH for either of the other two, their music doesnt really interest me. PIIIIIIIISSSSSSSED I missed Deko-ze, really starting to become a fan of his
Ok geeks, what was the last track Digweed dropped??
Digweed's set was incredible to say the least.. Hands down this was the best set ive heard this year. I must say i enjoyed this set a lot more than his last kh performance. It was awesome to hear him drop techy breakbeats throughout his set. He dropped a dope nudisco track which sounded like boyz noise (not sure if thats the right spelling).. It had a descending bell melody, alternative sounding vocals,
and some dirty roaring electro synths. Does anyone know what its called? I think he played it during the last hour of his set.
Got to hear Greg Gow for the first time and i must say hes pretty solid.. he delivered a diverse array of quality tunes. It was quite refreshing to hear something different than the typical tech house you hear everywhere in Toronto. Definitely keeping an eye out for his upcoming shows. Awesome party
