Three things that make msz a great producer.

Msz Knows.

The first thing that makes msz a great producer is having the brain capacity to understand when a synth patch/sample sounds like shit and not use it.
This goes something like this:
''No I am no going to use this sound'' because... ''it sounds like shit.''
As simple as this sounds 90% of producers have a very hard time with this.
So unlike most aspiring producers msz patches do not sound too harsh too soft to processed too digital... too anything! There is no ''too'' when you are dealing with a sound of an msz track. There are no obvious flaws that get in the way of the listening experience.

What Makes Msz Msz.

The second thing is being able to get from A to B and get those ideas and excellent sounds into a full track. This is not Easy. Being able to tell when a sound wont work does not mean that you can make or find a sound that fits well and blends together with the rest of the tracks. Most people can't. Some people can. And this is what makes msz msz. All the tracks he has posted are surprisingly good and he is consistent about it. It is like you can count that if the record say ''msz'' on the cover then that record worth your attention.

What Makes Msz Great.

The third thing that makes msz great is having great taste and being able to make the music that he would want to spin and listen to as a fan. Make no mistake Msz makes underground progressive house music but Msz music is still record store material. These is music out there that is interesting but in an abstract way. Not in a 2003 lets press 500 copies and send them to the distributor type way because the record just wont generate enough interest on the strength of the actual music unless the producer spends lots of money branding himself. And that branding is all we are left with these days. Circa 2003 if msz licensed a track, the record got pressed, the distributor send it to the shops and everybody got this long ass list from dance records when people hit that real player preview sample they would add the record to their basket and check it out. Then that record would play in clubs all over the world. No hype, no bullshit... just good progressive house music playing at an afterparty near you. This is what makes msz great.

I'm currently working on a remix for a very well-known MC & house artist who's launching a new tech label at the beginning of 2011. As a result, I cannot yet post a sample of this track, but here is a picture of my (uncollapsed) arrangement window in Live 8:

Haha. Funny you ask: even though this project has something like 10 separate drum loops, because I've edited the loops a lot (slice/vol automation/EQ/etc.) this is actually one of my more 'stripped down' tunes Dark and groovy techno. Sample will be posted closer to the end of the year I anticipate.

definitely interesting and technically well put together , i'm most certain that if you tried to milk more energy out of the main riff you'll have stormer , you're main riff is a killer
