if it wasn't at Maison, i'd be all over this. I'm so over the bottle service crowd and dude's in blazers with eyebrows finely tweezed like a woman's.

heh. honestly, i'm a more than a little afraid of this place and it's regular clientele.

i don't really want to show up before midnight since i'm really just going for ricardo, but i also don't want to be trapped in some line-up situation, even with a ticket. i'm also super tired....zzzzzzzzz

Posted by PurpleHaze on Nov-05-2010 15:10:

Ugh, came down with a runny nose and cough yesterday. Nursing miiself at the moment at work....need to be in tip top shap for tonight!!

Lots of water, fruit and honey peppermint tea for the next couple hours then going home and making a big bowl of chicken noodle soup followed by warm bath and nap! Should be okie to jam!

Any ideas on good spots, perhaps free, to park near this place?

Posted by Man_Devil on Nov-05-2010 15:12:

How's it going to work with people who have tickets vs. people who don't? Separate lines?

Posted by LightsOut on Nov-05-2010 15:15:

^^^
I'd like to know this too....

If I have a ticket, is it cool to show up @ 12:30 and not have to deal with a clusterfuck @ the door? Or should I plan ahead and just arrive earlier regardless...

Can't wait, i'm buzzin!

For the Record, Maison in No Way will have there regualr crowd.

Maison isnt even open on Fridays so the Regular crowd is not present
and its only the people coming out for Riccardo and Sneak who will be there.

And People its gonna be a Full House Tonight!!!

There will be a line for Ticket holders.. A line for WIll Call
and a Line for People Paying Cash. Veru Simple

I would suggest getting in Before Midnight because after that there will be about 1000 people trying to get in at the Same Time so maybe
its good idea to avoid the rush.

Thanks for the post...

For the people who are deterred about this being at Maison, I wouldn't worry. As Code said, Maison is only open thursdays and saturdays, so their regular crowd shouldn't be much of a concern. This club is beautiful, I was their for a tiff party and was extremely impressed, tonight is going to be bonkers.

Posted by Skipper on Nov-05-2010 16:06:

I cannot believe the number of people coming out for this.

Posted by nadezhda on Nov-05-2010 16:50:

ooooh oooh i have a question!

so one of my friends is sick, but she *may* decide to come out last minute. we've got will call tickets under my name - is there any way i'd be able to leave hers at the door for her to pick up when she arrives or does she absolutely have to come in with me, no exceptions?

It's Ricardo , makes perfect sense.

There are signifcantly less booths available tonight, as the club knew that there would be more dancers than posers. Here's hoping that limited bottle service = limited pricks!

Posted by spitty on Nov-05-2010 19:07:

i have to work tonight, and am hoping to come around 2am. I don't have a ticket (because there is a chance I work till 4am). Anyone (alex) want to venture a guess on if there will be tickets left at 2am?

I am in the same boat. 3-4 days must be the incubation period for the diseases contracted from all those nasty CZ halloween creatures!

I only really care for Villalobos. I'm happy this won't be too long of a night.

Nice!!!

The best set I have ever seen from Ricardo was only 2 hours at Berghain before Richie. Longer sets he has can get lost and get a little too off track.

However, I actually think he shines when he is playing b2b with someone who can push him and keep him interested (Hawtin at DC10, Luciano at Amnesia, and Zip at Mutek).

Best of both worlds tonight.

Interesting. The only time I've caught him was when he played well over 8 hours at Metropolis in mtl and it was epic!

So psyched for this! The hype is definately off the charts but I'm pretty confident we are not over hyping here. Epic won't even be the words to describe.. I'm anticipating galacticness!

In the meantime..

When I've seen him at festivals or clubs where it was 3 or 4 hour sets he was still good but seemed to lose interest...partying with the other DJ's and it often felt like he was putting in the time until the after party. The two hour set at Berghain was by far my favorite set that year...maybe of all the sets I've seen live.

They are jokes, but not in a good way if you're trying to catch a vibe on the dancefloor. I really don't like it when a DJ's attention is not on playing for the party. Not Ricardo's fault here as people are constantly coming up to him and the booth is designed in such a way, but I hope it's not like this tonight. If it is then I hope he brings those dancers from the other video you posted Swamper. I could dance off their vibe all night and Villalobos could be behind a curtain for all I care. Cheers.
