the guest mixes would be better at 1hr/1hr i agree. and somebody commented that they're normally a lot of recycled stuff- which i totally agree with and that makes them kind of boring. a few months back somebody did a guest mix, i can't remember who, and they mixed some track 'so far so good' into 'who's afraid of detroit' and that totally caught me off guard - i loved it haha.

Posted by modthispny on Nov-09-2010 22:47:

he does the 30 min guest mixes because ratings really dropped if it was 1 hr guest mix. now were forced to listen so we can get the last 30 min of markus, which also includes the global selection winner.

I pretty sure his kid has his own aspirations. And Markus has the PR of David Lewis, Coldharbour, Armada etc behind him. Sure he doesn't need his son working TA forums night and day. I've never seen Markus do aerobics before he goes on but so what if he wants to pump himself up and get the blood flowing? Some DJs do a fat bump, Markus exercises lol.

i didn't realize that many people turned it off after an hour especially with ASOT immediately after

Not sure about before he plays, but I remember reading that he would work out to get in better shape to last through his extended sets.

Posted by msilin on Nov-10-2010 06:49:

I'm definitely down with 1 hour 1 hour, 30 min in the middle of a set then 30 min back with markus is weeeak. if anything, 1.5 hr markus then 30 min at the end.

but like everyone - 2 hours with the man is what I'm really after!!!

we still get to hear 2 hrs of him at least twice a month..world tour and a 2hr studio set. always good to hear other dj's we won't really get to hear thrown in there.

Posted by trancension on Nov-10-2010 12:59:

Hmmmm, that many people were tuning out when the 1hr guest mix came on? I guess American listeners went back to work or went to get lunch before ASOT or something...

Well, if the 1hr/1hr guest mix isn't valid because of ratings issue for the guest mix, then Markus just needs to do 2hr sets all the time. And of course the World Tour sets need to stay.

what's the last track off his new album? thats ok

Posted by trancension on Nov-10-2010 14:36:

You guys should really ignore this guy. Have you not noticed how he's obsessing over Markus' son? Creepy as shit. Unless we're going to get Chris Hansen to register on these forums, we should just ignore him. He doesn't actually contribute anything to the conversation except pedophilia and improperly used words and images.

you know what? seriously....just get out of here. no one needs to listen to youre pointless name calling and need for attention...as much as i shouldnt even type this out bc its clearly what you want...leave everyone alone.

you have a right to an opinion but NOT to being an asshole to our friends...

I like that we have Brooklyn, Atlanta, and Charlotte all coming to the west coast forum to assist us in dispelling this irritating Brit.

He probably just doesn't like Markus because he's American. Either that or he's bitter that A&B is doing TATW 350 from LA. :-)

it's so sweet hahaha
i just don't see what the point is in coming into this thread- there are enough threads on TA already where these people could go to hate hate hate. i guess i'm just reiterating what has been said before though (what GPC said, for instance, hit the nail on the head)

Seriously. Perhaps it's my southern roots, but my Mom always told me "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all".

Posted by system-7 on Nov-10-2010 21:50:

Do you guys also say, "Its colder than a witches nipple"?..
(has nothing to do with the thread :P)

hahhahaha my grandpa used to always say 'colder than a witches tit' even though i've never really heard him use foul language otherwise

I'm all for poking fun at artists you don't like, but I don't understand why some people choose to make it their life mission.

@trying to understand haters: ill never get it...so i try not to but sometimes i just cant keep my mouth shut....

I LOVE LOVE LOVE dakota....i actually usually love his Dakota productions a little bit "more" then artist releases...INITIALLY

Never fails: Markus Schulz artist album is released and im like "hmm...srsly???" then i listen just once or twice more and adore each and every song even become obsessive...
