Has an uplifting quality to it John. I wonder if the sub on the bass could drop a bit as it may be eating up a low of room?

The snares (sorry to be anal) sound a little basic - I reckon you could be more imaginative and really get them bouncing the track forward.

i havent had a chance to listen to it with my subs in my car (which is how i get a feel for the bass)
But ill check it this weekend.

Yeh i get what you mean by the claps. Did you mean all the claps/snares i use or just the one from the start? Cuz i bring in another one on top of the one from the start after 2mins or something.
I might have a dig around the minimal ven. pack they have some nice claps.



on another note - I tried to master it (ill call it master but what i really mean is compress dodgely and raise the volume using i think waves L3 and the SL comp)
I dont really know what im doing in that aspect so it might not have the compression etc you would hear on other tracks

Started working on "No One Knows" got to say , sweet sweet vocals

I finished my 'I Believe' remix. I'm about to start mixdown of my 'No One Knows' remix. Aliciya has such a sweet voice. I swear, if you aren't carefull some big name artist is going to steal her from you. All of your girls area talented. I dunno how you find them, but hats of to ya.

Did Aliciya write the lyrics for these 2 tracks we are remixing? I'm a tough critic when it comes to lyrics. The lyrics are really good, not your typical lovey dovey BS. They are a cut above that, and very original. I like the concepts.

I'm surprised certain labels aren't interested in your original mixes of those 2 tracks. I suppose they are picky or something, looking for what they think is the most current sound. Bonzia rejected 2 of my tracks a while back. They liked the tracks, but they are now being very picky with what they release. That's a good thing in many ways, but I wonder how many tracks I'll have to send to please them. I'm about to find out.

That would be awesome - I hope a big name artist does snatch them up! All three of them are very close friends of mine (and my wife), and believe me, I care far more about their musical success than I do about mine. I've had my 15 minutes of fame (sorta) and now my priority is my career and my family, so I'm happy just doing my thing. Whatever happens, I feel fortunate just to be surrounded by such great singers and people, and I'm even more fortunate that I've got a wife who trusts me enough to let me hang out with them at a club on a Wednesday night!

Yup, Aliciya wrote the lyrics. I am not a lyricist, so any lyrics you hear in any of our songs were written by the singer. I'll pass your compliment on - I'm sure she'll be happy to hear that from you!

Well, to be honest, we didn't shop them that hard and they probably weren't a good fit for the few labels that we did send them to.

@JDC - I've been listening to your track and love it! I'm just getting over bronchitis/head cold, so I'll give it a proper listen in the next day or so now that my head is clearing up.

I'm all about soundcloud now. I see now why some of you love it. Beats facebook and myspace for presenting music. The collaboration forum looks to be a good place to find vocalists and such.
