Lol at you guys. You're complaining about bad hair cuts, yet you're unwilling to spend more than 20 bucks? What do you expect? Just like anything else that's quality in life, you have to pay more for a better job/more skill. So either accept that you'll have to spend more money, or stop complaining about your bad hair.

I agree money has very little to do with the quality the haircut (excluding supercuts). Its more about finding a style that suits you. A good barber will steer you in the right direction.
laughing still at "master stylus".
When I get my hair cut, it costs $13, and I've only had something I didn't like once, and that was my fault because I was in a rush and instead of having her go back through and trim off a little more I just said that it was fine and left. For guys with shorter hair, it really doesn't make sense to pay any more than $20. You just need to find someone who is good.
I just realized how hilarious it is that you guys think 40 bucks every 6-8 weeks is expensive. What kind of job do you have? A paper route?
And I still can't figure out why the bald guy here feels like his opinion matters.
LOL
igk got pwnt
but jenny, you can pay $1000 for a hair cut u dont like...
if you are happy with a $20 hair cut and the stylist does a good job why pay more?
I pay a lot more than that when i get my hair done but sometimes when i dont have the time to spend an hour in the salon with my stylist washing and massaging my hair and giving me all these extra salon products (Which is included in the total bill) i go to this place which does my hair for under $30 and does a fairly good job.
Spending any money on *your* hair is a waste, seeing as how your head is planted firmly in your own ass.

I haven't paid for a hair cut in years. I only pay for colour.

Palatable? Fuck.
I pay 40 bucks for a haircut around where i live
SHe does a thorough rub with some menthol cream on my hair after its rinsed with hot water... which makes it orgasmic
$38 + tip, every 2-3 weeks. Been going to the same guy for years. All I say is "the same," "a little shorter," or "a little longer," (in comparison to the previous cut) when I sit down and he gets it right every time. One of the only good things about living in Texas is that you can get a really good haircut for $40 instead of $100.

You get what you pay for. People rarely notice when I get a haircut (to answer the original question, no, I don't get the 4-day hangover. I did when I got cheap haircuts as a kid), and it isn't full of jagged lines and cascading ridges. The shorter it is, the more often I get it cut.
Unless you have the 'old executive' swoop cut, I don't see the point in paying a ton (>$200) for a men's cut, but if you're paying 20 bucks, it shows. The point is to not draw attention to it.
I have system-j's opposite problem. Okay it sometimes looks like ass for a day or two, but usually it looks better the initial time after being cut. It's only after growing a bit that I start hating it.
I suppose this one is easier to fix, just go cut it more often. But for some reason I feel bad if I go to cut my hair too early. Any more often than 4/5 weeks and feels like wasted money. Not like 6 per haircut is much of a fortune, but yeah.
