Don't you suffer from anxiety?

Coffee is the absolute worst for anxiety.

I work at a coffee roastery in town and we make everything from scratch, (well we order in our syrups and chai concentrate and milk) but coffee wise we make it. We make all our drinks italian style too... I don't like sweet coffee drinks, i like black dark/medium roast coffees or americanos. that is all.

i absolutely loved the coffee you sent. +1

Nobody's attacking your stance, so grow up and stop attacking theirs unprovoked.

Now you're just making shit up. Only about half of the recent posts are digs at religion. And you cant really count replies to previous posts there as its kind of hard to reply to a certain topic of discussion without mentioning said topic.

And taking slight digs at religion is hardly attacking peoples stance. If an off comment once in a while upsets the delicate minds of some people so much, my best advice would be to grow a thicker skin, or put on those glasses from the Hitch-hikers guide that black out whenever something potentially upsetting to the wearer can be seen. Just in case i do some day decide to go on the full on attack.

But if nothing else i can admit my own mistakes, im a big enough man for that. I shoudnt have said that the pope likes fucking young boys, that was uncalled for and i knew it after i posted it, i just didnt care enough then to edit the post and fix it, so let me remedy that now.

"I love coffee more than the pope loves god and protecting people who are fucking young boys from prosecution by the appropriate authorities."

There, now the statement is nice and factual and not at all controversial, so no one can take issue with it any more.

So you respond to shaw's serious post with more sarcasm?

Seriously?

Indeed, ever since I started on p-zac though it's been pretty good. I still drank coffee before anyways, I dunno, caffeine doesn't really seem to send me over the top. My dad and sister have to drink decaf though, suckers.

I love Coffee, tea as well.

I have an espresso machine so I make my own lattes all the time. My favourite teas change all the time but I like black tees and oolong teas a lot.

Posted by Zharen on Jun-04-2011 01:13:

I don't particularly care for it but if I have to wake up before 9 am then it becomes fucking crucial. I also can't drink too much of it, otherwise I get nausea and a bad case of diarrhea which tends to follow shortly afterward. But a half cup of joe in the morning with some sugar and cream tends to do me good.

Tea is okay, but there's no way I can substitute that for coffee. Tried drinking a cup of hot tea while at work a few years ago and almost fell asleep. I had to work doubly hard just to keep myself awake. Never again.

I wish coffee tasted as good as it smells.

Posted by Moongoose on Jun-04-2011 01:55:

The smell of freshly ground coffee is one of the nicest smells in the world imo. And even though i dont personally use them, i would stick a coffee scented air freshener in my car. Dont need one in my place since it always seem like im making coffee anyway.

Honestly, I think it's somewhat of an acquired taste. I had a similar experience with both coffee and beer. At first, I couldn't understand why people liked it, and I would just load it up with sugar and cream. As I've drank more of it I've started using a ton less sugar and cream as I prefer the actual taste of the coffee itself.

That might just be my personal experience, but my roommate over the last year picked up drinking coffee a bit as well, and he said the more he drank it, the more he liked it.

Not a big coffee drinker (yet), but a local roaster makes a mean chai.

... are you related to Scoops?

no, actually coffee makes a great substitute for alcholics and drug addicts alike. There is an empty void left inside to be replaced from quitting after years of drug abuse. I'm convinced this is why coffee is typically found at all Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
I didn't have such an affinity for coffee until I went to drug rehab.I became so addicted to it that while I was there I made a relationship with the other residents that worked in the snack shop so I could get my coffee for free.
I ended up getting kicked out of rehab after calling the girl who worked there a liar.
I was fiending for coffee and she would not give me any. I didn't have any money and she said she would get in trouble if she just gave it to me for free. So I called her a liar.
Afterwards I made amends with her b.

Coffee is one of the great simple pleasures of life, in my opinion.

Posted by broiler on Jun-05-2011 19:08:

Caffeine is my favorite drug, and coffee is a sublime delivery device.

Posted by tubularbills on Jul-15-2011 19:03:

I'm still drinking coffee on a bit of a regular basis, but only at work. The coffee at the chow hall is not very good; so I just brew some at the "office". It's Community Coffee from Louisiana/Mississippi. Great stuff.

I don't use coffee to wake up or anything, and it doesn't necessarily have to be piping hot. in fact, most days, I have about a cup or a cup and a half , and leave the leftovers for the next day. No sugar or cream, just black.

There's one guy that works in Intel and he drinks an enormous amount of coffee a day. He smokes too.

My boss drinks coffee and he always comes into our shop to get some. I find it annoying...so instead of telling him if it's hot or not, I let him touch the glass of the pot (it's always hot). It makes me smile a bit lol.

Thanks again to Wienerschnitzel for all the coffee you sent me, that was great stuff

I agree with Renzo, it's a great simple pleasure.

I bought some friends of mine back in Oklahoma the Cafe Du Monde Coffee from New Orleans; can't wait to come back and sip on that!

Coffee is almost like mild Cocaine for me. I'm a mellow guy and I don't see the need for me to be jittery. Same with all other legal 5 hour energy drinks and other illegal drugs. I will on ocassion have a decafe with with some really nice cream and sugar.

Morning coffee + smoke = mandatory for me.

I used to be the same, but I've been trying to get rid of the after-coffee and after-food cigarette attachment, and I've pretty much got that sorted now.

Mostly

Posted by Alex on Jul-16-2011 08:15:
