Mullholland drive is definitely one of thr weirdest movies i've seen ever. I watched it two times to make some heads or tails of it, but then at the end went to the internet and got the story.

Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas

Dr. Stangelove has one of the coolest storylines of all these movies. it manages to be funny and disturbing at the same time. do watch it.

Psycho! it's about this dude who lived with his mom in this secluded area after his dad died...and then kills his mom cuz she was seeing another guy...and he was really attached to his mom...so he dug her out of her grave...added chemicals and stuff to keep her from decomposing.....and then you realize that half of him is his mom, and the other half is him...so sometimes he would be himself, and then other times his mom side would take over!

btw....i havn't see the word 'fucked' so many times in one thread....

anybody see 'child's play' or chucky! this movie is my childhood's biggest nightmare....eventhough i was scared shit of this movie, i still saw all three parts! after that....i became paranoid everytime i saw dolls!

the interesting part is that most of you list movies that are hard to understand... like fight club... clockwork orange...

i'm not talking plot-wise, i'm talking metaphor-wise... like fight club... holy shit, i read differen parts of the script so often, i'll prolly have it memorized soon.

another one of kubrik's films, 2001: the odyssey... now, THAT is fucked up... good fucked up... i couldn't understand it at all... gotta watch it again sometime

another movie that came to mind is American Psycho, bout some wall street or lawer(?) i forgot, that has a weird lifestyle and goes on killing rampages and stuff, its pretty sick like the part where hes chasing a girl through an apartment building naked with a chainsaw and a pair of nikes. its sick and funny ( you gotta see that scene)

I think most of you define "phucked up" as mindblowing, positively mindblowing.
Now I still hesistate whether to watch or not watch 8mm. If its just fucked up for the sake of being super-brutal and gross..well thanks..no. (Thats what "Hannibal" miserably failed to do btw.)

As for A Clockwork Orange one MUST read the book in order to get the movie. Simple as that. The book makes sense, the movie is just a random visualisation of the plot(but a good stylish innovative and hip one) but fails to include the sense making elements. I'd recommend to first get the idea and then enjoy Kubrick's intepretation.

Seven, 12 Monkeys and Fight Club let me love Brad Pitt. All three are indeed fucked up but for me 12 monkyes owns both. It left me speechless thinking the whole night about wtf happened and how else it could have ended etc. etc. Maybe the most inspiring movie I've seen.
Requiem for a dream was also excellent, but seeing it again on TV I somehow had no power to go through everything again. Its more of a unique experience, nothing more.

Oh and sothis: Yes the French do make weird weird movies. Go and watch "Diva", hell the director must have been on LSD for sure. I think I should watch more European productions..very underrated IMO. Considering that my favourite movie ever is Italian..

it left me with a "OMFG WTF" expression on my face. it is a great movie, but i call it a bit fucked up. maybe we all have different understandings of fucked up. IMHO, fucked up = weird and hard to understand

It came out a while ago.....it's about this groups of kids...who were supposed to go on this school trip to paris...but one kid had a vision, that the plane was gonna crash, so he got off, and some of the other kids came with him. basically they escaped death! the plane really did crash. so then the kid figueres out 'death's plan' and was able to see who was to die next... cuz they all cheated death one time, so it'l be after them again....
anyway, i saw it....and this is a REALLY FU*KED UP MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!
i'm so paranoid now, that everymove i make might lead to my death!!

the scairiest part is that its based on a true story, there are some fucking gut wrenching moments in this film. like the part where the mongaloid hillbilly with the leather mask impales some screaming chick on a meathook while he slices up her boyfreind with a chainsaw right in front of her *spew*
