So basically if you're retarded enough to sleep with someone with an STD, and you're circumcised, you have a better chance of getting away with it. Or you could just not be a retard.

I find this to be a topic over which both sides exhibit such close-minded views.

How many of you read "there was a study conducted that showed people who get circumsized are 74% less likely to get HIV" and actually believe it, wholeheartedly?? Are you that fucking dense? Honestly?

Unless you can prove to me that the studies took place in a controlled environment in which, from a group of participants, some were randomly circumsized and others weren't, following which all of them had to be intimate with people who were HIV positive these studies mean fuck all, and you ought to know that.

Can't you recognize that the Africans who think "white docta man done said if I get mah foreskin chopped off I can be protected from the hivadids" are very likely the same ones to say "i best be puttin a condom on mah dong"?????

Another thing that I figure might have skewed the data quite a bit: The study (or studies) that PKC quoted were done on men at least 15 years of age.

Now, these men aren't really going to want to part with a piece of their manhood just because someone told them they should. There would SURELY have to be quite a bit of education going on there too.

That education alone could be the reason that these men aren't wandering around sticking their prongs into anything that has a heartbeat. They now know all about some safe sex options, and they now know all about AIDS/HIV - and they don't want it.

Just a thought.

I'd be interested in seeing the stats for the study, myself.

Yeah she has been pretty wounded from a very similar earlier topic.

Basic fact is the studies for HIV, etc are at best sketchy, there is studies that show cut dudes have more genital warts. I honestly think it makes zero difference though, the only way it DOES impact is if the sex is forceful and the foreskin is pulled back so far your banjo string snaps and bleeds. So unless you plan to rape or don't know how to get a girl in the mood/like dogging when the hole is dry there is zero issue.

PLUS bear in mind the procedure can and does go wrong and can cause irreparable damage to a very sensitive and arguably most socially important part of a male.

you know what prevents HIV better than circumcision? Condoms.

Watch that Bullshit episode i posted guys. They laugh at both sides...as well as show how much statistics are purely invented or on done on 3rd world sample populations where hygiene, education and medicine are sub par compared to the developed world. These people are more likely to die or contract everything.

Circumcision is not evil, but lets face it 98% (i can invent numbers too...look deeper into those studies to both pkc and spam ) of the time it is for cosmetic/theological reasons.

Chopping off a foot can save you from gangrene, but I wouldn't exactly do it as a preventative measure now would I? Human beings are sturdy animals, and via the wonders of evolution have managed to be at the top of the chain species wise on this planet. I'm wiling to trust what nature seemed appropriate, over a guy with pubic hair sideburns in a funny hat.

As far as the medical or scientific communities? They can't even agree and post conflicting "well researched" studies constantly. Some refuse to even do the procedure anymore. Some say that it should absolutely be done. Who is really right?

No one is calling anyone a butcher. I just think that giving young men the choice is not dangerous and honestly is the fairest thing.

Girls with nice breasts are generally more socially accepted no?. Would you put breast implants in a child (without giving them a choice) to make sure she fits in with her peers? At the same time do you know that breast implants actually significantly decrease the risk of breast cancer? It really should be done at birth to save lives imo.

There are many others using foreskin for medical research. No permission is asked to use the samples either. We think they just put it in the medical waste bin, but this is not always the case. Human tissue is a valuable commodity in the science world.

I'm all for this, medical research saves lives, but it is sneaky to do this without the public at large knowing what is happening to their child's skin...even if it would otherwise be discarded.

The business of foreskin is not exactly the backbone of the economy, but the vested interest both scientifically and financially are still large enough to lobby for circumcision. I'm biased for sure, but find this somewhat unethical.
