Trance Radio
Well for the time being the only radio station I can listen to and tolerate at moments is z103.5
Lets face it its the closest you can get to what we listen to on the conventional radio...
Untill they make shoutcast radios for your car
then all i need is http://www.di.fm/

I just had an idea...
Why don't we have a trancEaddict fund raiser, make money in whatever way... beg, work at McDonald's, squeeegeee. With the money we could buy a large GTA radio antenna, hook it up to my laptop, or someone else's fast computer. Download Gigs of Trance and broadcast it 24/7 on a private radio frequency just for us TTAs. Lets say... 106.9 Khz... or whatever frequency.
What do you think?

could play some house, prog, techno too
to spice things up a bit
the only canadian trance i know is max graham, hiaterus or whatever
and thats another problem...canadain dj's cant go internantional cuz they cant produce original music that sells out of canda or at all
other then the 2 i mentioned
an all trance station will never happen for this reason alone
but something like 100.7 could be made better
i usually hear crap on there now...used to be good a few years ago
if somebody could get a hold of nightly airtime at a toronto or canadain FM radio station and play better trance nightly i bet there would be enough listeners
canadian content during the day and good underground trance at night
z103.5 tried to do that with foxy 88.5 but it didnt really work now did it
i think it's because they never hosted anything real

they never really campaigned it right
if they had things such as Foxy 88.5 presents DJ Tiesto live-to-air @ the Guv then it would have worked
cuz back in the day when 100.7 was good with 1groove and everything was when they were going live from industry
when industry closed this all went away
if we get another club like industry and a station to host from there then we will be back on track with the whole trance thing
but the thing is that ive talked to a few club owners about this thing and the general word is that they dont want to be the next industry and i cant see why they dont
so we need somebody with a brain and initiative to work for 100.7
now on to the trance going commercial thing
well if trance gets played everywhere it will get more ppl liking it
the argument u have is that more "gino's" will then be parting with the "ravers"
well the thing we call ginos is not actually a gino
these ppl are just most commonly white guys that go to trance events that think they are hot shit (hence the attitude and no-shirt thing)
there will always be ppl like this no matter what...its just the way it is
u have to take the risk that bringing trance to the public will bring more of these ppl in
but it will also expose trance on lots of ppl that might not have ever heard it if it werent on the radio or drilled into their brain to make them like it
just a few of my thoughts
oh ya and im down for Marco V in Montreal
If im not mistaken, We are alive-PVD hit mainstream charts...it was on the countdown on Muchmusic for a while...and it received a lot of radio play. Im surprised you guys are talkign about it now...since this was an "old" hit.

to tell u the truth i dont really remember hearing that
but then again i wasnt that into it back then to want to know about it
as far as i know these days the only clubs that have problems with stabbing/shooting are the ones that are considered gino clubs
but this relates to what i mentioned b4
the more ppl you have at an event or exposed to something
the greater the rate of assholes being there
say u have 50 in a club of 1000....with 5000 ppl there will be 250 of them
they are not gino's, just scum
its almost a measure of how popular something is
the more scum there is the more chance of something bad occuring
so if something bad happens u know there were lots of ppl there
so industry was popular and finished at a bad time
now trance has to fight to get back to the position it had then
Just leave Tony Monaco out of this
