Haven't been all that active on the boards the past month or so, but this caught my eye. Seems like a potentially cool idea. Definitely keep with it guys. Would be happy to help support the cause if it meant bringing an undervalued name to NYC. John '00' Fleming certainly fits the bill. He is way overdue to get his ass back here.
Make it happen!
+1 support here. As much as people are tossing out discussions left & right these days about changing sounds in music, waning music scenes, flaky partygoers, reductions in party quality from the blurring of fanbases from various genres, and accusations on both sides of the "get on the trouse-wagon" debate...if you know what you like to hear, may as well stick to your guns.
I'd love to hear the likes of JOOF & CL in NYC again. I'm pretty sure the *last* time I had a really enjoyable night in Pacha was when CL closed out for Ronski Speed in Nov. '09. ...Damn. If even I can start reminiscing about parties that were over 2 years ago, you know there's something strange. :P
Glad to see such a good response from so many people. I hope we can have your full support when things come together; we're really gonna need a solid amount of pre-sales to make this happen, but I think it's possible.
Bear with me a little while longer and I will hopefully have some news for you on the ideas we're throwing around.

Just found this thread, and I'd love to help. I'm a brand/digital strategist and used to work at an advertising agency, so anything relating to digital strategy is up my alley.
Just a few thoughts after reading...
1. Any consideration to Brooklyn venues? Or what about Shelter?
2. Why not make the parties earlier on a week night? I never quite understand why a headlining DJ will play 1-4a on a Wednesday or Thursday, when the turnout would be much greater if they played from 11-2 instead. Whats the point of going so late when people have to work who would otherwise show up and spend their money?
3. Why not use a Groupon model for ticket purchases? May/may not work, but its definitely worth considering.
Groupon would be an awesome idea. I'm surprised nightlife hasn't really caught on yet.

Nightlife would make groupon charge an additional processing fee to purchase the groupon and then another fee when you redeem it to buy your ticket
Brooklyn is tough, people don't wanna trek it out there especially if it's not in a prime location with an abundance of mass transit. Brooklyn only works for certain types of parties, and certain promoters. Just my own personal observation.
Shelter has been closed for the longest, its a vip models and bottles spot now = not happening lol
Opening early doesn't work on a weekday unless it's happy hour.
Blackfeel Wite has some amazing productions
love this track
