Have you got a cam? Take some pics! Just use a really fast shutter speed

Ha, now this one I can definitely relate to My joints were the stuff of legends. I don't smoke any more though

cuddling underneath a blanket watching a movie.

Posted by Intellekshual on Jun-15-2012 02:54:

A kind word/gesture from a complete stranger.

Kitty massages, you know when you're on your tummy in bed and they hop on your back and start kneading, their purring motors on, utter bliss.

Jumping in the bathtub on a cold day, and it's just the right temperature, glass of wine in hand, candles and ambient music playing in the background. Love that. I don't do it often enough.

When the weather is so crappy outside. Cold, rainy, wet, dreary. And you're inside watching a good flick with your significant other under blankets.

Doing something awesome, and no one knows about it.

Taking a kid from total confusion about something, and helping them understand/overcome it.

When people put effort into a hug, instead of the a-frame thing.

Mama's cooking.

Finding a good amount of money in a pocket of something you haven't worn in ages.

Spooning.

So much more I could add...Great thread, Stu.

I figured the COR could do with a dose of something positive, for a change

stop corrupting the minds of children. if a kid is confused, tell him he is illiterate and that he should start reading books immediately.

you are quite the chauvinist. Perhaps there is a book that might ease your idiocy. Maybe one that is also about suicide.

you might have seen death. i am sorry i have caused that onto you, but you should not give in to the suicide deal he is offering.

you should try to redeem yourself, and good things will happen.
you are capable of helping the world, dont hesitate to not let your ego stop you from doing it.

Posted by Looney4Clooney on Jun-15-2012 03:59:

that was a suggestion for you.

You would benefit from applying your own advice, I don't even think you've read the Bible, I doubt you're capable of reading any long book.

Stubert banning you just for being unanimously disliked was pretty great.

I extract simple pleasure from seeing otherwise lawful people in positions of power stooping to popular whim and selective violence; abusing their station by all means liable, but beyond prosecution because all but the beaten are in cahoots.

I'm not even alone this time, even Meat got a real kick out of this guy's lunacy, and he's way readier to hate people than I am

He's, like, German and stuff.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Jun-15-2012 16:51:

Speaking of simple pleasures, Germans also tend to like having diarrhea splashed in their face, which is exactly what reading TheTrinity was like.

You and Meat also have a fetish for contrariety and kitsch to the point of incessant novelty. Don't worry, we know you guys just don't know any better!

Posted by srussell0018 on Jun-15-2012 16:51:

It says he's online right now. Did Stu really ban him? I thought he was just embarrassed about his woeful attempt at making people believe that he's not zidumare.

I blame academia!

(like, we always have to prove people wrong and come up with novel ideas... we're paid for doing this stuff )

Posted by Lira on Jun-15-2012 17:07:

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot!

Coming up with a hypothesis that explains all the data and predicts stuff you didn't yet know. It feels great when they work

(and it's quite frustrating when they don't )

If abject and repeated embarrassment were an effective deterrent, would that explain why some people keep coming back?

*cough*

Posted by srussell0018 on Jun-15-2012 17:53:

Take it back

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Jun-15-2012 18:19:

Whatever could you be referring to? I'm just saying some individuals need to be banned or they'll never learn!

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Jun-15-2012 18:23:

Take myself for example: I posted an inappropriate image of a bristly scrotum enveloping a television screen (and perhaps a cassette tape) long ago, and was subsequently banned from the forum. I even had to endure the direct condemnation of verndogs, too! Gosh darn, that felt terrible, as you can probably imagine. I now consider myself a reformed individual and have maintained a clean record ever since that little mix-up.

In what fucked up world is that inappropriate?
