that site's expeez. $200.
I've been finding an average of $120 more or less. Anyways, saw pics of the buses/shuttles, might just do that, it's really not bad.

You don't need it. When you get there you'll be approached by 200. Be smart negotiate and you'll cut the rate in one eighth

What about money?
Should I bring Us? Pesos?

Funny Wife and I were just asking ourselves that.

So heres the deal with that. If you take u.s., it is accepted everywhere. However they will always give you change back in pesos which can get confusing. I'd have to say pesos

Don't pay more than $40. $120 is ridiculous

well, that was for round trip, private transfer, chauffeur style.
so $60 each way.

I read somewhere that prices everywhere were in US, so it actually got annoying to use pesos, that's why I'm so confused.

The cheapest I got was 104$ back and forth with USA-Transfers. Apparently it's a renown company.

Where did you find for $40 each way!?

You're over thinking this. Is this your first trip out of Canada?

Once you arrive there are 100 car services begging to take someone to playa. You'll see a ton of others going to playa, you split the cost with them and it's 20 pp. or go solo and pay 40

Posted by portugzMTL on Dec-29-2012 20:24:

first time to Playa/Mexico.

I've traveled a lot. That's why I know it's very easy to get ripped off in other countries. I'm just trying to plan my shit accordingly.

Posted by Spin Laden on Dec-29-2012 20:25:

you'll probably get a better exchamge rate by getting most of your pesos here.

Have fun... 50 degree weather swing coming up for you

ATM machines offers the best exchange rate, just make sure to know how much your bank will change you for each withdraw, calculate well my friend and enjoy Playa del Carmen ... plus, make sure to explore a bit everything else PDC has to offer.

Cenotes come to my mind

Thanks a lot brother, definitely wanna see more of Playa after BPM's over. That's what all the extra days are for, really want to see some ruins as well.

That being said, flight's in 5 hours, and I can't sleep. lol

where's the review?

Posted by kotsy on Jan-10-2013 05:58:

wtf is he doing there? lol

Posted by Passskal on Jan-11-2013 04:46:

Not many pics or post from my different groups of friends on FB. I have a feeling they're pulling a mad amy winehouse type week and just simply cannot communicate with us humans in the outside world just yet... One year my friend did not go once to the beach all week, he only made small apperances at kool beach. Came back with a nice green/grey skin color and got sick for 14 days after! Rough vacation for some people lol

Once you hook up with the right people and end up going to mad villas and secret parties with DJs...there's no turning back you just go for it a make it an unbelievable night that can last 1-2 days!

Posted by Spin Laden on Jan-11-2013 13:09:

I was able to post a few times on here last year, during BPM.. but yeah it's a marathon and not a sprint.

So many good gigs, it's no use getting whacked straight out of the gate.. esp if it's Tiesto

Posted by fortierprod on Jan-11-2013 16:18:

my roomates just came back. Apparently it was overcrowded. They liked DOP and audiojunkie best for the Flying circus event.
Drugs were not good as predicted. Overpriced parties.

They are still happy that they went.

I'm glad I didn't go. lol. 2010 was the bomb.

Posted by Passskal on Jan-11-2013 22:34:

2010 was probably the last fun year before it became a douche fest a la WMC. Everyone knew it would become too big soon after. So i'm not surprised it is now overcrowded but I'll wait to hear from my friends review. If you know the right people you can manage to avoid all the big clubs and only join secret intimate villa parties where DJs spin for free and all day long,.,

Posted by Spin Laden on Jan-12-2013 00:12:

venues are far too small for the lineups down there as well

2012 they had 35K
2011 25K
2010 18K

18K seems to be the threshhold. Move BPM to Cancun
