this would be my guess.... have the 2 levels reserved for vip tickets... use the bar downstairs and the balcony upstairs.

Typical setup is for VIP to be upstairs with a bouncer at the foot of the JL room stairwell. Dunno if they have a bar for VIP up there or not, I have never seen one (but have never been up there on a VIP night). If they close off the whole JL room, that would suck, since that bar has the only real cranberry juice in the club (elsewhere, it's Robitussin syrup sprayed from a drink spigot!)

When I first heard that VIP would be upstairs, I was actually thinking it would be the upstairs seating area above the back of the dance floor. There are two bars in that area.

I bought my ticket the minute they went on sale...no VIP option was available then, nor do I really want a VIP ticket. On the floor is where you want to be for Markus, not up in some balcony watching Markus who would look like a tiny ant...

If he does a 13hr set I want to hold Markus' pee bucket

im really hoping he goes 13 hours, it would be one of those nights to remember forever. i did asot 550 db last year and that was a lot going 12 hours strong, left the place feeling like i got beat up, but its all worth it in the end. 13 hours of music from markus is going to open up his selection of tracks a lot, really looking forward to it. coming in from boston with my cousin for this, going to be my 18th time seeing markus since WMC last march. Excited to end the year with looks to be a night to remember.

Markus just posted that the 13 hour set is speculation because if he says that it is and he doesn't hang for 13 hrs people will complain. He said if the vibe is there and there is still a crowd he will continue to play.

yea

honestly im sure by hour 11 crowd will get very thin.

He said today on the DJ hangout interview with mixmag that he'll be spinning for 12 hours...could push it to 13 if there's still a crowd I'm sure. We'll see!

Really getting stoked for this show. Was at the extended set at Avalon in August and this one will be even bigger. Looking forward to the decor as I read there will be a jungle theme. #13for13 it is, I down to stay until the last record spins.

when 2013 hits, it's pretty much going to be a set reset, so i'm guessing will do a slow build up from 9 pm and then a peak time set from 12-4 then rabbit hole time

it was on mixmag for the decor. said all weekend it will be in a eden like setup.

I will be there.

Judging from some recent sets I've heard by him, I MUST NOT WEAR SUPER HIGH HEELS on this night so I can dance and not die after 3 hours.

I hope he plays "without you near". I've never heard that song live, and I think I would cry if I heard it. It's by far my favorite song by him, or probably any trance song.

i've only heard him play it once that i can remember, back when he was doing his 'do you dream' tour and made an avalon stop. khaz was there and came up during the song, cool stuff

he also played it for sure during night 2 of his la 12 set, it was one of his closer songs.

I want to say I heard him spin it at Ruby Skye back in October during his solo set.

Well that sounds hopeful, but closing song? I don't know if I can stay that late since I work on nye during the day. Banking schedules suck.

I wonder if Avalon will let me bring a bag with pajamas so I can take a nap somewhere. Only way I can last that late.

I just posted him a twitter message asking him to play it lol...but I just remembered my twitter account is private, so he can't see the message unless he's following me. And I can't figure out how to un-private my twitter.

haha! yeah, i have to work the day of as well. i plan on going up to the balcony during the afterhours part of the set and taking a break, then coming back down to the floor for the close. if you bring earplugs, maybe you'll be able to catch a nap there?
