I thought these two tracks were decent, but they aren't the typical stuff unicorn trance lovers listen to. There is always good trance tracks every year, but they are more of a niche, nobody pays attention category

Of course. I have my own fan base, I don't expect everyone to be a part of it.
fyi I was a finalist in the Tomorrowland contest this year too

Its funny all the complaints you hear about the DJMAG Poll....

...Yet You still have AVB #1, Digweed below #50, People who haven't been really active in years in the Top 100.....

And Dash Berlin in Top 10. This poll ain't so different from the DJ Mag one...

Posted by a.l.d.i. on Oct-25-2012 18:22:

this poll is taking the same path as dj mags. only 7 yrs behind. soon people will start whoring out with shamless promotions and become top 20.

is there a decent poll left? i just wanna be able and discover talents i have missed properly!

Why do you need a poll to tell you who you're missing out on? Do your own research and look on beatport and other music sites.

Posted by ravenrg84 on Oct-25-2012 19:42:

why is Dash Berlin always in the top 10? he is like the second choice of all Armin fans?

Posted by a.l.d.i. on Oct-25-2012 19:55:

because it would be much easier to me to just look at a proper list of really good talented djs/producers. sometime i don't wonder out of my interest. not because i have no joy in exploring but i don't have the time. Here is an example. Rap artists. i don't think i will be looking at rap artist on my time but if some people well informed groups of people in this subject point out at Nas , to me that would be a great find.

this list doesn't have to be ranked. i think thats where the contraversity starts but rather a more like "discovery/keeping up" with great work.

and quit frankly i can't believe i have to explain this to you. Stop assuming stuff before you attack some one..

that would be like me claiming you whore out yourself and begged on social media websites for people to vote for you in this list. but i am not ; )

seeing you ranked up that hi i was going to look you up and listen to your music but i am not anymore since your being a douche at the moment. Maybe later i will. cheers

The guy has such a bad influence on the reputation for trance. I don't know why so many fans don't see this seeing him becoming #1 would make things worse.

A fucking men. I'm at a loss for how anybody can say he still plays anything remotely good anymore. His radio show should be renamed A State of Pop

yup. he definitely is not being a proper role model. he just as much as an armada bitch as the rest of their artist.

Well he is the founder of Armada, or at least one of them.

RA poll is better but it's a techno poll, tranceaddict poll is like djmag but 20% more serious.

It'd be hilarious if Armin's army invaded that poll too. Maybe we should lobby them to do so, so their hero can be the undisputed #1 everywhere.

Haha yeah, this just cracks me up too And guys who hammered it this year aren't even in the list. This actually already started with the voting process, I just couldn't find several guys who have been active for some time now, releasing quality trance. You needed to enter them as 'new entry'...

But, in the end, polls are always subjective as every individual has his/her own musical taste and personal favourites, so what's the value of a popularity contest?

Dog Running Where's Dj Tatana?

Did I missed it or she's not in the list?
Anyone thought her works are brilliant too?

Maybe. You're probably right. I had no interest in Armada in the last 5 years so I haven't really been following what happened to the label.

Wishful thinking probably they think the old Armin might return. See the stupid comments here all saying <3 the king is back. Its weird that these people don't see that this is the guy who ruined the reputation of trance in the first place. Dash Berlin is up there because of their horrible poppy tracks which sound so much worse Aqua - barbie girl. Armin sold some ownership but he's a shareholder of the company. The name Armada came from Armin, Maykel and David Lewis
