That's a very insightful post, Jack, about the pirate radio station. In all honesty, the cracks in Burial's tracks are such a forte part of his music that it would be weird for them to be missing.

Nevertheless, there are producers who take this a step further that don't compress/master material for the same feeling. John Talbot's "Fin" is somewhat like that. Either that or the label didn't know what the fuck they were doing.
