Maybe something like Access's Total Integration?

THAT will be a kiss of death. Just got rid of my piece of shit Virus TI2 (2nd one) and will never buy another virus (post-Virus C) product again.

Nothing but fucking glitches, pops, errors, etc. I spent more time chasing bugs than C4L on his average Friday night! (I keed, I keed!)

Fuck this TI shit - get the damn thing stable over MIDI without choking and holler back when you're ready. What pissed me off is arrogance of support - "Hm, jee wiz, verks ova hea, mazt be problim on yir sistem!"

Arrogant cunts

This happens if your use a USB cable as the audio input.
Plug in some audio cables and problem solved.

Honestly wondered why they even bothered offering the audio over USB thing in the first place. I never got that to work.
Love the sound of that synth though. Definitely one of my favorites.

I guess all I can say is "Hm, jee wiz, verks ova hea, mazt be problim on yir sistem!"

I haven't had any of those problems in years - probably since OS3 - with either my Polar TI1 or my keyboard TI2. I assume your TI's OS is up to date and you've got it connected to a dedicated USB card???

have to say ive never had any of the much talked about problems with my virus ti - pretty bulletproof in that regard in my setup

back to the NL4 - so it will be possible to have synced arps/LFOs now?

Apparently.

I read that the NL4 keyboard doesn't have aftertouch. Does anybody know if it will receive aftertouch?

I would think so - aftertouch is part of the standard MIDI protocol, so I can't imagine that the NL4 wouldn't receive it. The NL2/2X didn't send AT, but it received it (same for the NL1 IIRC). The NL3 transmitted and received it, so the NL4 is a step backward in that regard. Pretty disappointing that they didn't include it in the NL4, but it wouldn't affect me, since I'd only be interested in the rack module if I were to buy one.

In the Sonicstate video (@ 05:13) this question is asked and the answer is no, but it has velocity.

It looks cool. I was on the verge of buying a NL3 a few months ago but glad i didn't

Tbh im really quite over hardware at the mo, just got a new 6 core PC and it really opens up the possibilities of layering soft instruments together without the hassle of constantly bouncing/freezing

For the price their asking for this i just don't feel its worth it, especially since i recently discovered buying used software licences over at KVR

The TI is definaltey staying though - as mentioned earlier in this thread i think more people need to start integrating with software.

I think the guy was asking him about the keyboard and he meant did it send after touch. He mentioned in some of the other videos that it has the same synth engine as the older Nords and all of them received after touch.

2,200$ for the rack? i hope thats not an exact price because it shouldn't be for a VA synth.

what do you guys think about this up against the mopho x4 or even the ti2 ?

I personally wouldn't give up my Virus TI2 for a NL4, but it's certainly in the same class. The Mopho x4 wouldn't even be in consideration against these two synths - the P08 or P12 would, though.

Posted by Raphie on Jan-06-2014 09:03:

I exchanged my NL4 and P08 for a P12 last year, never looked back

Posted by tehlord on Jan-06-2014 09:19:

The NL4 rack points and laughs at the P12 rack.

It bullies it. Rightly so.

But once you hit record all quality goes away cuz you won't be able to dell the difference digitally.

They're about 400-600 over here if they're in decent condition.
