Thanks to Art for helping me update the big list!

Only-DJ's is a pretty slow site, but its awesome cause it lets you listen to the WHOLE song and each track.
I have ordered from Groovetech a lot cause I lived in Philly and they dont have crap for a record store that isnt hip-hop. They were really quick and the packaging was great. Moved out to Seattle so I have been going to a record store around here. Plus Groovetech is based out here so I wont have to pay shipping costs, I can just go pick them up =)

It really depends on the store. Some place will change an arm and a leg while others will charge the actual price. Most sites will have their shipping rates posted.

www.buythatrecord.com

UK site that just opened. I ordered from them on Friday the 26th and received my records Wendesday the first. Shipping is decent(but fast) and the selection is awesome. Lots of old and new stuff.

Posted by liquidmist2001 on Oct-01-2003 22:09:

i went to mierecords.com, it's just a pity that us record sites charge an arm and a leg for shipping.

i just put in an order at chemical for 4 records, the total with shipping came out to $40, and these are brand new records that haven't come to the US yet.

i looked for some of the "older" stuff, from within the last year or so, i found some, 4 records + shipping was about $50, granted that the records might get here faster, it doesn't take that long get the records here from england, they're pretty fast about it...

it's a good site, but i think i'll stick to chemicalrecords.co.uk from now on. or if i'm really desperate, go to www.dancegrooves.com... they have a great selection, and they do charge a lot for shipping, but they're in the netherlands, and the records are here in 2 days....2 days!!!!

Ok, is it just me or has anyone else discovered that this site actually has not been updated for a while. A lot of the stuff, hmmm actually make that all the stuff I have tried to order has been out of stock when they have said it's in stock. Point being that you actually have no way of telling what the shop actually has and this makes it seem rather pintless shopping there.

Have I just been extremely unlucky or has anyone else had this?

Cheers

Just curious about nrgmusic.com
Not a lot has been said aboutthis site. Just wonderin if it's good...cuz checked out all of the US sites that wast listed in the beginning, and out of them, 2 of them sufficed my needs. I'm curious about nrgmusic.com. Anyone ordered there before?

How's the service(speed)?
" Quality of the merchandise?

Seeing how hard vinyl is for US, I'm very skeptical buying internation...for now.

THanks for any response on NRGmusic's thing's i wanted to know...cuz i may buy something there.

Hello,

Your comments have been taken on board.

Hotdecks is now under new management, it was previously ran by Neo + Farina, who due to a hectic djin and producing schedule where no longer able to concentrate on hotdecks. Hence new ownership and a new way of running things.

The site is updated daily, with both new stock and restocks. There was a problem with the site that some things were showing in stock and they weren’t. This has now been rectified and the products on the site are in stock and available to buy.

A couple of things to be considered.... the site in the non to distant future will be being redesigned to make navigating easier, as once you have searched for a product and it displays it, at the top of the page it asks whether you want the next 10 / prev 10, this will show you the next 10 pages not the next ten products. Also once you have found your product if you click more info, to listen to the audio for arguments sake it will tell you if the product is in stock, if you go straight to checkout, your order will be processed for picking.

As previously stated these annoying bits and bobs are currently in the process of being rectified.

All I can do is sincerely apologise if you have not been happy with the service before but hopefully if you try again you will have better luck.

Thanks

Andy

Hey no biggie,

To anyone that read my previous comments I must say that there has been a big improvement and given the circumstances you can see how it happened in the first place. Producing and DJing takes time a plenty so it's understandable. All the best to Triss for the future.

Also I feel confident that you guys will get it running smoothly. So all the best to you.

Cheers

I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND PLANETXUSA.COM

they're not worth the hassle, a lot of their records have prints and dirt and stuff on there when they arrive in the mail, a few of my records were warped...others were scratched and jumped into the same loop over and over again, and they charge an arm and they ship at their own discretion...you don't get to choose your method of shipping. and not to mention, it ends up almost being cheaper to buy from chemicalrecords.co.uk, not to mention they have much newer stuff and a hell of a lot more promos...not to mention a better layout, IMO. BIG THUMBS UP to chemicalrecords.co.uk

i just recieved 2 records from replayrecords.com i ordered them on the 10th and got them today 20th. not bad time since they are in the UK and im in Florida. records are new, no prints, no scratches. shipping was a little steep, about $15 US. but they were records that i ABSOLUTLY couldnt fina anywhere else. i would definitly use them again for hard to find vinyl.

deep dark progressive tribal house

could anyone tell me a good record store for my type of music(read title) groovetech was my home and have no place to go.

Posted by Nemesis44 on Nov-12-2003 10:52:

I have been using these guys quite a bit lately and have found them to be good. They have their own sections on both Tribal and prog house, not to mention that they are very helpful if you have a request.

http://ukdancerecords.com

Also not forgetting that their news letter is very well made. Splits it up into cattegories and you can listen to the tracks straight from the e-mail so you don't have to check back to the site to find out what's new.

Best of luck
Nem
