Lotta nasty rumors going around about Eric Prydz failing on the decks. Any truth to this?

depending on who you talk to either 1) his SD card was corrupted causing him to play the same song 3 times in a row and then give up. or 2) Space security escorted him from the booth due to being drunk and that was the cause of playing the same track 3 times in a row.

I was there and after a day or two I'm starting to believe the kicked off the decks story. I think there was a stint of 30 min where the same track was being played, not to mention he picked up the mic to talk and I couldn't understand a damn thing he said. So yeah, pretty unprofessional. He probably won't be playing Space again, the good thing about space is they don't put up with your bullshit.

Word around the campfire was that he was laid out in the Space office. I saw him when they were walking him back there through the loft VIP and he did not look like he was doing too good at all. Quite sad, being that other than the Sweet Dreams marathon he was killing it beforehand. And Fehrplay brought the heat as well. Nice that Liebing came on at 6 am., so I got to see him also ...

What a fool. Was looking forward to badass terrace Prydz set -- and I bet it'll never happen again. And I don't feel bad for him, what a moron. He deserved to get his ass beat after pulling something like that. Makes Space look stupid as hell but even more so, what about the fans that were jacked to see this.

anyways, Nic and joris were worth price of admission alone. What a great set by them. Terrace was in rare form, just badass! Also thought Carl Craig was sublime. Just not into the super intense pounding techno as much. Neither were any girls...all the hot girls jamming to Craig bounced as soon as CL got on

Fuck this guy. Lost a lot of respect for that fool. He was waated. I have the video on my phone of him talking. Complete joke.

Nic & Joris took me back to the wonderful days of that terrace when no one wanted to play there.

Sorry to hear about Prydz he delivered at the Pool and played some ridiculous techno w/ Adam at the Hotflush party.

Do not get it twisted people... Prydz was out of his mind drunk. Dude couldn't form a sentence when he got on the mic, which he did twice in an hour (who does that?). He played Sweet Dreams 3 freaking times and another one of his tracks twice all in the span of 80 minutes. Can't believe he's now trying to spin it as a computer glitch...

Thank god for the pros pros downstairs for CLR. Everyone I saw was outstanding and Chris Liebing is quite honestly in a league of his own. 2 plus hours of one of the best tech sets I've ever heard...not one single let-up.

Prydz was drunk as fuck but then again also the same track cut off twice at exactly the same spot. So, even though he was drunk he was building a nice set for the first hour then the shit hit the fan.... I'm not trying to spin the story here, he deserves the shit he gets for being too drunk and he should've had a backup SD or something.. Lol, when I saw him drinking vodka straight from the bottle I knew this would end bad...

Anyway, I'm over it already because his set at Ultra as Cirez D made up for Space ten fold.

Hey guys, thanks to everyone who came out for all my shows this Miami Week. Techno on the main stage at Ultra, Cirez D in the mix. Good times. I am very sorry my set finished early at Space on Friday. I had serious problems with my SD cards, but I should have handled it better and avoided the booze. Not my usual style, it will never happen again. Apologies again to all of you who came out and were disappointed.

Which is very true. What is also true is his bottle got spiked which apparently happened to many DJ's at many clubs. I know of another incident where a DJ's bottle was spiked during this WMC. Perhaps with you working in the industry as well you heard about these incidents?

I've heard of a few things outside of there also. I mean I don't really believe anyone's drinks we're spiked. I think it's a classic case of they got way to fucking blasted and management had to help calm down the non sense and correct the situation.

hypothetically if his drink/bottle was spiked wouldn't that mean it was done by someone in the relatively small dj booth?

between his apology note and that he was seen drinking out of the bottle i think he just overdid it... easy to do in a city with 5am or later booze available!

who knows, it could have happened on the way to the booth by some professional douche bag bottle spiker. Space bar staff or yes the 20 or so people who were in the booth.

I left 1 hour into his set right as the music cut off for the first time I am assuming. When he came on at 3, he was stupid-drunk and couldn't make out most of his blabbering. Something about he doesnt get on the mic often, and something about Miami, followed by silence for a minute and then the music started. What exact time did they kick him off?

i wasnt at space that night but his Cirez D set was definitely a make up for the prior night. people in the carl cox tent were talking about him getting pulled off the decks after playing sweet dreams thrice times.

stayed for prydz at ultra main stage and shit was tight! loved every minute. Since I was pretty close into the main stage i decided to stay for Avicii's country/edm experiment but left few songs after and headed for Space to continue the Prydz journey and friends.

Ladies and gents mr. Jeremy Olander electrified!!! the guy just bumped into first on my list after Prydz. Fehrplay was also amazing right after.

As soon as prydz got on the Mic shit got weird. the first hour was really good! but all down hill from there i bounced around 5ish i think it was loop 2 of sweet dreams. Sucks, but I had blast. meet some good people and enjoyed the earlier sets plus later that day I had the Jaytech/Jeremy Olander/Kohma Yacht party.

Looking for a track ID from this night. Not sure if Fehrplay or Olander played it.

Track has been out since September of last year. I have it in a few of my mixes and played it out a few times. Took vids of it when it came on. Umek played it at his 1605 label party a few nights early. Got to take pics with him as he was dancing on the floor before he took to the decks.

Anyone know of a DL link for the Nic/Joris set? That set was absolutely incredible. Maybe an hour or two of it will show up as a podcast somewhere. That morning on the terrace might be the most fun I've ever had at Space, and that's a big statement. Pete Tong threw the fuck down, warming up very nicely for Nic and Joris. And then it was ON!

Diablo and his boys know what I'm talkin about...the music and vibe that morning reminded me why I spend so much money and time on this scene...
