Kosheen - Catch (Way Out West mix)
i think is the cool Kosheen track =p
hehe.. zapa, i dont know whatd you call that mix... i guess if you had to put it under a "label" maybe prog, but it certainly doesn't jump out as being so.
to me its just a slowed down version of the original d&b, hahaha
Yeah it is jokez hearing Kosheen described as progressive... I know them for their drum n bass but yeah the track you peepz are talking about is cool...
latez...
the discussions over horizons or flight 643 are very interestin.....
here are my proggy faves of past and present..
trisco-musak (Wonderland ave)
(love)tatoo-drop some drums
futureshock-the question
sander k-my lexion
conjure 1-redemption (Maxgraham dead sea mix)
xpress 2-muzikizum (part1)
medway-my release (Lexion avenue mix)
now these are firmly in the progg genre!
i also still like afterburn-northpole and sister bliss-deliver me which could be borderline?
party hard!!
yo
Id have to say that i like Pulsar - Cloudwalking (ferry mix)
pretty sure its progressive, maybe a bit uplifting.
prog....
love Schiller - Ruhe (humate rmx) it got the beats, bass, and some hard metallic pounding riffs.....
>JM<
Another one off the Xpander ep...
Sasha-Rabbitweed
This song is so damn evil and well produced it's insane, has a permanent spot in all my progressive sets.
Kosheen
I know that Kosheen does Drum'n'Bass but i'm wondering have you heard this remix at all:
Kosheen - Hide U (John Creamer & Stephan K Mix)
It's progressive, believe me
The following dj's have been playing that remix a LOT
-John Digweed
-Dave Seaman
-Seb Fontaine
-Sander Kleinenberg
all of em are more or less progressive dj's, right?
zapa, what kind of dj you are doesn't mean jack shit to what you spin... for example, anne savage, one of the biggest hard house djs out there, laid down a beautiful trance set with progressive touches. doesn't mean the stuff she was spinning was hard house.
we were talking about the creamer & whatever mix, like i said its basically just "Hide U" slowed down and with a trance kick snare, instead of that drum'n bass stuff.
great track.. i guess you could classify it as progressive but i wouldnt
My favorite Prog Tunes are -
Sander Kleinenberg - Soul Shelter/Hidden Agenda
Sander Kleinenberg - Observator
Wheed Baskin - Castle Rock
etc etc
I find progressive - soft techno with a melodie
well thats how I define It
