*waits for The Sun or The Weekly World News*
ron paul says there is no law that he can cite - it's implied (already linked to it in this thread somewhere)
he can't cite it out of ignorance, it's because it isn't technically there. i don't think 'implied' is good enough when dealing with the law. it's a case of pay or else. anytime anyone has asked to see the law (when being tried) they haven't been able to produce it. surely it should be your right to see it.
a guy called whitey harrell was found not guilty for not paying his taxes, because the jury couldn't find the law - and the judge failed to provide them with it upon request.
I'm 99.9(repeating)% sure the 16th Amendment is technically there. Why don't you find that acceptable?
amendment. law.
two different things.

when was anyone ever thrown in jail for breaking an amendment? retard.
ron paul can't cite a law that allows for taxes to be explicitly taken, seems like you do. tell me it, i'll pass it on to ron... it seems to have passed him by in his 40 years of politics.
why are you so fucking dumb?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revenue_Act_of_1913
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internal_Revenue_Code
http://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/income_tax
oh yeah, 40 years of experience, and it's on fucking wikipedia. silly ron.

"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
So, yeah, it does look like the 16th Amendment allows taxes to be both instituted ("lay") and taken ("collect").
Now you're correct that the 16th Amendment does not in itself mandate an individual to pay any specific tax. Rather, it authorizes Congress to pass income tax laws: and those *are* what require individuals to pay taxes. These laws are called the US Tax Code, and they tell American citizens what we owe depending on our income and the characteristics of our household, e.g.:
http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/26/1
So when your ideological fellow travelers get their asses thrown in the pokey for tax evasion, it is for failing to comply with the Tax Code, and not "breaking" the 16th Amendment.

Rubez, you still haven't provided a direct quote from Ron Paul to show he denies the existence of this law. I'd really like to see what he actually has to say on this subject.
Rubez rhymes with noobs. Probably not a coincidence.

Well, we should have the lowest tax that we've ever had, and up until 1913 it was 0% |

also, OT:
watch this from 4:12 (you can skip the speech) compulsive viewing. you wonder why people haven't said more about this, or even bother voting.
wouldn't it have been paul up again obama if it weren't for this? instead of the limp-as-fuck puppet head romney? mitt had NO CHANCE. ron paul did, and if you seen what he was gonna do, it would have been truly transformative. that's why he got derailed though and voters had their votes stolen. i like the bit it says about illusion of choice, seems to be true. i think legitimately it should have been gore instead of bush (looks where that took us) looks like the same sort of thing they did with paul, fucking with the votes.

In 1913, the Sixteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified. It empowered Congress to tax "incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration." The Internal Revenue Code is today embodied as Title 26 of the United States Code (26 U.S.C.) and is a lineal descendant of the income tax act passed in 1913, following ratification of the Sixteenth Amendment. While some states do not have an income tax (Nevada), all residents and all citizens of the United States are subject to the federal income tax. |

can you go away please, seriously. you're like some piece of shit ignored chihuahua barking for attention.
watch the video at least.
awwww, rubez doesn't know what a united states code is
