At least read what you post. This is from that CNN article

quote:
All four, career officers serving in positions appointed by the President, submitted letters of resignation per tradition at the beginning of a new administration. The letters from the White House said that their resignations were accepted and they were thanked for their service. The White House usually asks career officials in such positions to stay on for a few months until their successors are confirmed. "Any implication that that these four people quit is wrong," one senior State Department official said. "These people are loyal to the secretary, the President and to the State Department. There is just not any attempt here to dis the President. People are not quitting and running away in disgust. This is the White House cleaning house."

Er, that's the whole point; This is the statement put out by the white house following the sudden resignations.

quote:
Ambassador Richard Boucher, who served as State Department spokesman for Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice, said that while theres always a lot of turnover around the time a new administration takes office, traditionally all senior officials work with the new team to see who should stay on in their roles and what other jobs might be available. But thats not what happened this time.

The senior people (2nd only to Rex Tillerson) resigning all worked in their position at least 9 years, under bush, through Obama so it's "not tradition" (otherwise they would have left after bush).

Read the Washington post article. You'll see the resignations were not planned as part of the regular transition process - that's how it's being spun as we speak.

Funny how I called it though

I'm not sure if the finest authors of our time could write a character as brilliantly delusional as RANN is; someone who had their head so far up their own ass it broke records, and yet assured the rest of us, on a daily basis, that it smelled like peaches and was better than anywhere else.

All that's gonna be left of this forum eventually is alts, trolls, bots, and RANN to blather on along with all of them.

Posted by ziptnf on Jan-27-2017 18:01:

The best part about it is that every single news story that breaks is supposedly the next "Trump Killer" and is CERTAIN to be grounds for impeachment.

Breaking News: Trump is getting away with everything because that's how the system is structured. Until the Republican House/Senate decide they are sick of him, this fucking clown is going to be making headlines every single day. HE IS the news. I see him being a 4 year president, I highly doubt he will be impeached after making it this far.

You need to stop taking yourself so pathetically seriously and remove the stick so heavily lodged up your rectum; I'm having a bit of fun. If you'd been paying attention, you'll see I've said countless times that very little, if anything at all will come of any of these stories, I just love the salacious nature of how this batshit administration is playing out, and their followers who get so butthurt that Trump isn't the gleaming pillar of success he so desperately wants to portray.

Nah, you'll still be rolling around complaining about how everyone is so tiresome, and you hate your patients, but your life is somehow fabulous despite all the simpletons that mar your existence.

As I said in this and other threads, NOTHING will happen to Trump unless the GOP decide he's a danger to their power, or he tanks the economy.

Everything else he can survive with just a simple pivot to his benefit.

"Clinton took money from Golman Sachs! She's a crook!"

Trump puts 5 ex GS executives in his cabinet. "who else better to run the economy than the top bankers?!"

"grab em by the pussy...do whatever you want"

"Just locker room talk, amirite guys?" Hi five!

That's how this is going to play out. The only way he's going out before 4 is if the markets crash, at that point he might become a pariah that the GOP want to dump.

Otherwise, it's 4 years (at least) of Dirty Don.

Posted by on Jan-27-2017 20:11:

I actually could see 8 years depending on the economy. Trump has proven the facts aren't as important as we thought. If all things remain the same who could the Democrats find to compete against him?

I mean, you're right, but our point is that everyone here knows this already. Well, except for Serial Killer and soulstar where Trump could look into the camera and say "fuck every single one of you out there, including the ones who voted for me" and they'd be all like "oh he's just trolling you libtards MAGA". They are so useless, they aren't even worth conversing with. At least Kevin made highly researched and well thought-out points.

So true, I actually miss Kevin. The good old days lol.

Posted by Lews on Jan-27-2017 22:11:

Kevin was wrong about a great deal, but his heart was in the right place, and he was actually enjoyable to talk to.

Unlike RANN and the trolls he enjoys conversing with.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jan-27-2017 22:49:

I dunno what the problem is, just put him on ignore and he'll become one of the most enjoyable posters here!

did I mention Trump won?

yep. he won.

Basically, after his election-night humiliation, RANN is now tempering all his posts with the disclaimer that "Don is going nowhere", whilst continuing to leap fervently on every possible scandal so that he can claim he "called it" if a killing blow is finally struck.

if i can forgive rann for his 'flight 93 was shot down' nonsense, i think you can do the same re his exuberance to see trump get held down and fucked. comparing him unfavourably with kev is just too mean, even by TA standards!

I was literally the first to eat humble pie over election night - straight up, no denial there, but at least I've got the balls to put a flag in the ground on my beliefs rather than just waiting in the wings for events to unfold and then giving a snide little commentary after the fact.

No one saw it coming, least of all you or I. You're also not computing the fact that he won, and survived all the heinous things he's said and done - simply a new paradigm in politics - which is why it then became clear that nothing will affect him while he's a cash cow for the GOP. As long as republican financial interests are being served, he aint going anywhere, because we have the longest (dirty) laundry list of negative things that just haven't touched him, and won't.

That's where the temperance comes from, and as I said, there won't be a killing blow as no scandal matters. I honestly think at this point the GOP would still keep him even if the Golden gate tapes turn out to be real and got leaked to TMZ. "just a bit of fun while on holiday".

It's quietly becoming apparent that there's no replacement for Obamacare, and it will just be repealed, he'll survive that too. He'll survive the muslim ban. But he can't survive a tanked economy.

Uh, 'saw it coming' ? ie, saw Trump winning?

Let's go back to the thread, shall we?

http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...=5#.WIzBbPmLRPY

While you (and others) were going on about how Nate Silver was fudging the numbers to drive traffic to his page, Lira, Jack, and myself all said the contest was going to be extremely close and that you should temper your enthusiasm.

You can 'put a flag in the ground on [your] beliefs' as much as you want, that's really not the issue here. The issue is that you're a fucking dumbass.

Still so butthurt

Calling utter bollocks on that, it was only 3 days before that Silver starting tightening the polls and in Nate Silver's own words "I acted like a pundit and screwed up on Donald Trump".

The guy himself admits he didn't see it coming so again, take the self righteous stick out of your arse and move on as you certainly didn't see it coming. Let it go, I admit Trump won and we didn't see it coming, Hilary lost by the largest popular vote margin in history and you certainly didn't fucking call that, did you? And neither did your beloved Nate silver.

You just look bitter at this point.

The fact is, Trump is still in with a realistic chance of winning the election.

Reading back through that thread is like a Top Of The Pops countdown of your shit predictions. The media are falsely giving Trump a chance to bolster readership. It's not even going to be close. Florida is a done deal. Fucking hilarious.

Call utter bollocks on whatever you want, it doesn't change the fact you're a fucking imbecile who has been spectacularly wrong about pretty much everything this past election cycle, while several of us on here were absolutely correct in arguing that the race was much closer than you thought remotely possible.

You're just affirming your bollocks.

Closer than you thought? So now it's shades of wrong? You were closer to being less wrong? Fuck, listen to yourself - it's nearly as cringeworthy as Nate's election night interview.

You certainly didn't call a win, neither did I and the first flicker of it being "tighter" was a whole 72 hours before the end of an 18 month election cycle (by Silver's own admission).

I still don't get why you're desperately defending Nate Silver who got his arse handed to him on election night, with you and I both along with it.

At least I can take solace in the fact he had every tool at his disposal, does it for a living at and got it horribly wrong and I'm not that daft for following him, but you still can't admit he got it wrong lol. Just deal with it already, fuckwit.

You know, RANN, I really admire your attempt to play both sides of the table here, but it just isn't going to work. You claimed the night of, and the night before, that 538 was fudging the numbers to make it look like Trump had a chance, and then you claimed immediately afterwards that they had done a terrible job and had completely underestimated Trump. It's just laughable from the perspective of anyone without the sad emotional attachment to certainty that you clearly have. 'Holy shit, Donny's done!' 'Oh man, the Latino's will tip it!' 'Insurmountable lead!' '... !!!! .... !!!'

You may think that it shows that you have 'balls' by making such strong claims, but really you just look like a fool by making strong claims about things that are very uncertain.

We're now quite literally at the point we were last time, where you were calling 538's forecast wrong and I tried explaining to you that you have no understanding whatsoever of forecasts or, really, statistical analysis. I still think my metaphor last time was the best I can come up; 538 said Trump had a 29% chance of winning: that is analogous to watching baseball and seeing someone batting .290 come up to the plate. When they connect with the ball and get a hit, you aren't that surprised - that's a good batting average.

Right now, however, I'm not trying to defend Nate Silver (who I think went too far into punditry last election, and too far from plain statistics and forecasting). I'm just pointing out that you are a fucking moron. You can claim all you want that we were all wrong - to give yourself some solace that, you know, you are an intelligent man - but the facts are that you were colossally wrong, while those of us who gave more measured responses and, in the days before the election, pointed out that the polls were close and that we shouldn't count on Clinton winning, were ultimately proven right - we said she didn't have a guaranteed win, you basically crowed her victory from the rooftops.

The more you call me a fuckwit, the more you just look like a top-shelf retard. And the funny thing is, if you just had a little bit more humility and a little less sense of your own intelligence, I'm sure we'd all be agreeing about a whole host of normative issues. But until you get that working-class, un-educated chip off your shoulder, we never will. Shame!
