Amazing how well this stuff works at a lower tempo.

This has got to be the best stream of 2020 so far.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Jun-05-2020 21:48:

I managed to get the stream working in the end. It's been rather enjoyable.

Automatic Records have turned up on Beatport in the last week or so in pretty good although somewhat variable quality. Not sure it's the full catalogue yet. Lots of Cass & Slide though, for those of you who've been wanting a copy of Perception without the vocals.

Me, I'm off to mix Slide - Closure (Lounge Tech Mix) with Dallas 4pm.

It's cheeky, isn't it. Imagine a Tiesto track that doesn't involve a reworking of either their own or someone else's music.

Slide's Closure is a long-time favourite of mine.

Tiesto fans, however, might be pleased to see AUTO14D available, produced by Tiesto's production boys.

And cheers again. Another bunch of releases to go into the shopping basket - Quirk, Private Taste, Electric Tease, C&S. If indeed the quality is OK enough.

Good timing, Ive been playing the Lounge Tech mix a lot lately from an old compilation I picked up. Was debating picking up the CD single for the Fat Channel mix, then checked my beatport last night.

When playing the Lounge Tech mix I knew it sounded like something else I knew, but I think it was probably Dallas 4pm so thanks.

Also, it would be nice if Taste (Ashtrax Ambient Score) gets a digital.

All about 3Tryants@thebonepart. Odd the Beatport release is missing the numeral.

The Ashtrax Ambient mix is there now, Syntonic. Beatport and Junodownload.

There's also a 'Nebulous Acid remix', but I've never heard of that one before.

Try refreshing or lower the stream quality a bit. If not, hopefully he has VODs enabled so you can re-watch it.

It nice the catalogue will have original and modern tempos, and wont skimp on the quality either. Some releases are so quiet...I was also disappointed with some of the Rhythm Syndicate tracks, no TLC involved.

They need to go back and fix Boyd Westerman - Loop Life or give us the master from the Vortex release.

I've noticed Voyager's SC page has some free downloads from this era, including Aria - One (Original and Voyager Remix) and the Voyager Remix of Pako & Frederick - Magic Shop, for fans of that Parks & Wilson Essential Mix.

Do you or anyone else happen to know who produced Solefood - Down The Ministry / H20 Asylum, released 2000 on Rhythm Syndicate by any chance? I only have a RS promo 12" that mentions no producer credits.

I suppose it's tempting to think of Swain, Snell & Lucas since they appear to have been responsible for just about every RS release that wasn't Breeder/Pariah and a licensed Ocean Wave track, but I don't know.

Pete Heller - Big Love

Roland Klinkenberg has made a number of releases from his SIM label from '95-'98 available on his Bandcamp page, as well as a selection of unreleased tracks. Unfortunately not all complete "due to missing master tapes". Literally all the tracks I want aren't there . Edit: *very* nice to be able to get "Illuminated" from the Inner Laugh EP though. And "Unreleased 2" is a nice funky number - I'd play that out. Edit 2: "Unreleased 2" is really damn nice.

I'd love to propose download stores would provide customers with the option to create customised compilations at discount prices as they usually seem to do for compilations released by labels. I'd grab the old Vapour Recordings releases in one go . There are nice compilations, such as by Martin Cartledge/Weekend World, that I've noticed recently, but I regularly come across rather unappealing comps with some newer and older stuff put together.

(And while one might argue prices are generally low at the stores (?), the more I come across low-quality low-volume/mono tracks, the less eager I become to spend money on older releases.)

Just a random thought.

Miserly Dutch bastards

True!

We need to save some money to be able to donate for food aid distribution for you post-brexit.

Posted by Lews on Sep-28-2020 15:19:

Oh, don't worry about me. I've got enough foie gras, wine, and gin to survive for quite some time. If I run out, I'll just swim the Channel and claim asylum

Posted by Midlothian on Sep-28-2020 17:48:

With a stroke of luck there'll be an abandoned dinghy available at the coast you can return it to France.

Apparently Gab Oliver has revived Zero Tolerance Recordings and old stuff is to come to Bandcamp at some point.

Posted by Lews on Oct-02-2020 16:24:

Ooh, now that would be grand!

Posted by Midlothian on Oct-06-2020 16:18:

Indeed.

I only just found out Luke Chable has a Bandcamp page and was rather pleased to find that among the releases available there are some of the stuff he produced with Ivan Gough (the Digital Mind Control eps, The Traveller presents Quest).

Selling remix parts for (other) individual tracks for 40 Australian dollars each is perhaps a bit steep though.

Surprised to see Bitch Records discography on 7Digital. A fairly obscure late 90's label with a couple of good tracks as played by PvD and Oakey.
