That transition out of Bedrock - Heaven Scent to Ruash & Murray - Epic is screaming amateur at best, lol.

Tracks 2 to 3, 16:00.

I never said it was good. But I think the Digital Blonde is crap as well, so you lot come across to me as bald men fighting over a comb.

Shame / Disagreement

No love for Progressive House in general? "call it what you want" now is considered a genre?

wow.

wow.

It's not prog house either. This is more of the stuff we should see.

Easy, that does not sound like Oldschool Sterio. Just some 808 kick with textural pads in the backgrounds nd down groove boring saw baseline.

I'd choose this over yours

My point was that the track is better than the stuff played in the first hour. I already know that the old Chris Sterio was miles ahead of anything.Him and Steve Mcgrath.

Well only the first 15 min do it for me and that one track in 38:00 thats all that pleases my ears, I'm not what you would consider a deep global trance groove fan. When it comes to PSY- I like really colorful synth line and chords.

That new ashkan duality album is one of them

I don't dig deep into PSY catalogues anymore.

Usually ziptnf (TA) makes good psy mixes that I like, he has good picks that stand out.

Ziptnf - Magic Treasure (Rich Progressive Psy)

^ click that for an example.

He's deleted the post I was replying to, so that quip won't make as much sense now.

I deleted it because you are not the person I am targeting but I still stand by my comment. The music plainly sucks. It also has nothing to do with Trance or whatever you want to call it. It seems like plastic stuff that just sounds like a filler. At least with the DB album, it shows his skills and talent which is why I listen to music.

I agree with this somewhat..

I'v listen to all previews and what this, synth wave inspired Psy-Progressivem, this fusion has potential and def not shown here, some might condsider this type blend blasphemous but I admire and appreciate effort in trying and doing something new or of this has done before and done better I would def like to hear some examples because I'm an oldschool synth wave fan for example new order, the human league, flock of seagulls, depache mode etc...

those bands are the ones we love who bring soul, electrc energy, and straight bad ass inspiration with goosebumps when you listen and dance to.

there is a tutorial on synth wave from a good band at sonic academy.... I can get it free since ima subscriber and follow Digital Blondes footsteps and make it more inspirational but I'm working on trying to sound like Barry Jamieson first and I think you know that is., I already got the gear just need advice reverse engineering the structure and arrangement. I mean who wouldn't want that sound back I love it to death.

Posted by SynthNinja on Aug-21-2018 07:02:

I like this fusion of progressive mix and synth wave of the band I mentioned earlier New Order.

Done right.. love the guitar, big fan of that, def want to buy an electric and learn how to throw down, I have a VHS in my closet on how to play just need to watch it.

I think Sasha and Charlie remixed a new order track but it doesn't reach this one, not saying its bad, Sasha will always still be my number 1.

Bandwagon Jumpers for sure with no free minded thinkers that can give a real review, for sure sheesh.

The difference is that there is a journey involved. I focus on that.

As much as I like to respond to your post my account is on this ice atm, I was told to keep my posting to a minimum especially criticizing someone's else taste. I need to try keep low key profile so Ill let someone else handle it.

Edit: I'm failing miserably, to many posts but a lot of key subjects addressed imo

Taken from Joof's post,

A breathe of fresh air has arrived in the Trance world, you all obviously agree sending The Digital Blonde album straight to number #1 in Beatport sales charts on its very first day of release.
One of the greatest Trance albums to land for a long time.

I disagree with joof on what meets criteria on an accomplishment, def not beaport #1, thats just bonus imo.

2019 is upon and 45 RPM will or I think already will reach 25 anniversary. fans still buy vinyl nd digital release + merchandise (shirts hats) I highly doubt people will buy Neon Album EP long play and cherish for 25 years like they do with Northern Exposure cds now that to me straight accomplish that stays with you for as long as you live for an artist.

AVB blah blah reach number one what do you cal that shadow cast aside on the trance scene cmon but he can't say the truth like he said on here armin is his "friend" so The wip thread and dj promo are full of friends that are laid back and give each other honest feedback so we learn and develop new skills also learn from our mistakes. I mean Ziptnf is not my friend at all he hates me yet I gave em honest critiszm and feedback on his mix see for your self.

imo its time to get real and stop bragging about trance resurrection of olschool coming back on Beatport or wherever Joof

Sigh..I need to get real to and stop fantasying cuz it will never happen, also I hate the "will armin play trance tonight?" me love hope ascot style type night and so on ponderes and bring it into discussion, its being done everywhere on face groups, the annoyance.

This is like a comic book super hero dc superman like revival fantasy effect happening here, but with candy bracelets added on top, terrible metaphor but some will understand. I also got a top fan badge on joof's group i dont care I tell it how it is.

Stop being a wuss and a pussy. Man up and speak your mind. Do you see me holding back?

It's a nice feat IMO. It gives exposure to digital blonde to people who may not have heard of him. Thoroughly deserved and better than the other horse shit that's in the Trance releases.

I didn't want to be selfish and have your post all to my self and explain what meets criteria of a true successful journey

to easy, I want someone else to fill in the gap, like said trying to keep low key profile.

frak it, I accept the invite, I guess.

Imo their Pro and cons when it comes to reaching number 1 on Beatport but the cons outweigh the pro's . I guess I can say congratulations?

If I own the rights to neon and I was my first number 1, that fine and dandy but it def aint Scot HardkIss Raincry, now if that was my tune and it reached number 1, you'll get love from here especially in TA and damn well everywhere else. that aint no babble squat its obviously common sense. You dont need perfect IQ to spot the difference or. DEGREE in music theory from JUillard ffs. its on Beatport no doubt and rip Scott, a true legend in his own right. fi this reached number 1 and came out the same time neon what kind of impact would that make on the trance scene? I dont have an answer cuz I dont have vision like that but that is a worthy down right accomplishment hell rain cry cost 50$ mint for 12" neon will never even get close to raeach that status.

I might get slammed for this caliber of.a tune here and comparing to that crap, but I like slam on it too ad crush the competition.

if you want to take your listener on a journey your album need to tell a story, it needs an intro, outro, crescendo, hook etc.

By judging first track, it goes straight into telletubbie like madness as if little kid made the track. that def aint a intro. Its like telling the listener please skip on to the next track there are better ones than this one.

would you hang. copy 12'; cover of neon next to rain cry on your wall Omnisphere, totally different tunes one real true intricate form of art the other dont get me started. Imo Scott should get more love and praise here than digital blonde.

I can also see a vacuum in the scene or a empty void waiting to be filled up and for the taking, like I said before in the trance all is mostly used is KRK yellow speakers and soft synth spure biggest combo, Sean teas Darren porter you name it.

with todays technological advances in component synth circuitry and encoders and decoders from ADC/DACs one can take advantage make the texture and timbre of even delirium silence and double the fold in warmth detail and color, but is anyone taking advantage of this whole? 1 or 2.

Evolution was all hardware synth from what I read on the interview id pester him fora. trance revival if he got the time

Paul van Dyk was all RME audio interface and analogue mixer for seven ways 45 and out there and back, Kudos for being the first euphonix desk trancer, something better than that can be made oh yeah..RME have upgraded their chip sets since that time also plus drivers. also you dont need a mixing desk and with an interface you can use which lowers the signal path by a lot. So quality of those albums and be made better with what he have today.

but noo wants accomplishment like those, they said it doesn't mean the norm, well I would like too contribute like they did past the todays norm back then it was fire renaissance style.

see where Im coming from?

if greg could reverse engineer bedrock heaven scent im sure rest can also, he's a nice guy who doesn't put out like he did before

If you have the right tools and knowledge of old school arrangment (not difficult at all) with your signature style baselines or copy from youtube(so many tuts) do a rework and copy an expander midi file from like nonstop2k and have contacts and send it out, there is an easy Beatport number 1 in the making, it won't work with that soft synth spire tho

if you need contacts or mentors there is group on face book where the pro's and matures hang out its quite busy, just the nice and you'll et access to the big names like pvd and armin.

Look its easy, get the midi file (the notes) form the site mentioned add your soft synths boom you get this.

formula of todays trance scene star

ahh the super sawwwss...I mean where is the variation that likes of Fade and Barry bring to the table, def not here.

Idk why I dont see all these trance artist notice the bigger picture, its so clear, old school armin, pvd, tiesto, that crown is ready for the taking and I know they are trying to do it and its a joke with their attempts.

I'm done ima work on this remix of a bt tune.

not as groovey and bouncy as original but its got energy tho, however this is a real rework, reverse engineering. Imo few have the passion of going the long mile and I def admire that.

That would be greg downey

Except DB is not part of that cheesy artists Darren Porter, Tiestos, Armin van Buuren. Guess you missed these gems then. My only problem with Ricky's work is the mastering which tends to ruin the track for me, but The Witches was well mastered Synthology wasn't. Synthology had some serious mastering issues and sometimes it can sound sloppy too. I felt ripped off for blowing 20 dollars on it but oh well. Heaven and Hell was really done. Proper material. It shows the real skill involved in these artist.
