Alright then, I searched even more and I found some more interesting things. First of all check out www.freetekno.org (it wasn't as underground as I thought after all ). From there click on Nederlands. Next you're on the dutch tekno portal (everything is written in English though). On the left of the site you see links for all countries involved with the Free Tekno Network. Below Dutch you find several links to separate dutch tekno sites. You can search yourself from there (but especially check out http://aa.freetekno.nl. They have lots of links to record stores/labels etc). However I'll post here 2 examples of tekno music and one vid of a party held in Uithoorn, Holland.

Generally its because most picotto fans don't know the score when it comes to techno

I mean you've got BXRtrance here whos obviously a Picotto fan yet he wont defend his hero

What a crase assumption. Im a club promoter, a DJ of 12 years and Ive ssen the best come and go, Ive experienced the highlights of clubbing first hand and yes I DO HAVE A CLUE!

You keep going back to this point about Picotto being a poor techno DJ, now one is arguing the fact that most Techno DJs do "TECHNO" better than him. The point we're making is that Picotto is bloody good at what he does and has made a massive career for himself because of it. Over the next year you will see the real Picotto coming out with his new Meganite project and you'll be pretty suprised and some of the DJs who will be joining him on his new venture...


O and Picotto and BXR no longer have anything to do with eachother..

Picotto is simply Picotto. Love him or hate him, who cares? theres millions of fans out there for everyone who dislikes him. END OF STORY!!

All this arguing, and this is why the scene will be dead in a few more years....there is no unity like in the past

Arguing about this, is about the equivalent of the 80's hair band generation arguing about who is better slayer or Gwar...

It's like, "Who gives a fu.ck" ...lol

Just listen to who you like, and respect other peoples opinions on who they like. Your not going to change the music world by posting on a Trance addict board..lol

That's no comparison. You haven't read my post, you didn't hear/see the downloads I posted, you didn't follow the links. Otherwise you would've come up with a different answer.

I've seen Johan Gielen live many times (he's been spinning these tracks for like a year now and over and over again). I heard him very recently and all I do is post an opinion, that was based on my own experience, on his tracklist. That's something you didn't do.

I've enjoyed this discussion. it hasn't got nasty just a good healthy discussion. I we all said 'who gives a fuck?' and just listened then these forums wouldn't be here. They're here for discussion, info and debate.

I must post some more interesting reviews claiming stuff like tiesto spins old skool hip-hop, there should be some interesting replies then
