By the way verminator, if you think mauro picotto is ''Cheese'' so what are you doing Posting in this ''Trance'' site? I WOULD CALL TRANCE ''CHEESE'' THAT'S CHEESE. im here cause i have no problems in my head's if i like a dj , i listen to it, if he's commercial, well good for him, i dont care i just enjoy music

wel, yes, trance is cheezy compared to techno (very cheezy too), but that got nothing to do with me posting here.
if you actually want to know, i post a lot more on other techno-only forums, than this one.

Personally I think anybody who doesn't give picotto respect needs there head looked into. He could be making 10 times as much money playing to 50000 at gatecrasher, if he stuck to more trancey sets, but because he prefers other things, he is taking a pretty big wage cut. I don't think he has any big scale events planned for this year, only clubs, at least he is in it for the music more than the money.

Mauro is a perfect example of a versitile DJ plain and simple. His style over the years is a reflection of the music he listens to and enjoys himself. So people getting mad at him for changing his styles should ask themselves this......"Do I listen to the same genres of music every day?" The answer im sure is no. Mauro has said himself that he finds the quality of techno today better than trance (and boy do i ageee) so why wouldnt he spin techno!?!? I find his style fresh, and i like how everytime ive seen him spin hes brought something new and exciting to the table. Cant wait til i see him in 3 weeks in TO!!!

Then it is moving over to Holand then the UK withDJs Kevin Saunderson(Detriot techno legend) and Agoria dn Phil Kieran aswell. These guys all seem more than happy to work with Picotto and treat him as a DJ who plays good music. It just seems like its wee no face no name NO LIFE fools that sit behind PCs all day with nothing better to do than knock succesful people that dont accept him. At the end of the day who cares what people like this think they certainly arent going to affect anything picotto is achieving! So my word of advice if.. Dont waste your breath on them, cos their nobodys...

And I know for a fact they are not going to get in the way of picotto staying at the top where he has been for many years now!!

picotto's style is not really my style.. but when i heard him mix few times.... i really got into it. Even his earlier stuff were pretty hard(close to techno but with more melody and breakdowns/buildups). Of course i prefer ARMIN van buuren or PVD over him but picotto is def. a GREAT DJ/PRODUCER!! probably one of my top 5 FAV. DJ/producers

I've seen him in Chicago and thought that he was good. Nothing too spectacular but I had a good time. As far as production goes, the songs I have heard were pretty good. He's definitely not my favorite but I dont think he's horrible either.

Couldn't of said it better myself. Just cause it doesn't sound the same as a Marco Carola set doesn't mean its no good. Just means its different, i think some of you ppl should re-examine what it means to be a good mixer. Trance DJ obviously don't need mix as fast or as hard as most techno DJ, but that doesn't make them bad, its just a different style. And because picotto doesn't do it the same as other techno DJ doesn't make him bad. Wake up and stop being close minded.
