My values aren't so bad . I said that the main driving force should be to avoid disruption. IF the racist drives his point in with flaming then yes we should ban him. BUT if he's looking to intelligentely share his views with us and have a discussion, I don't think that warrants a banning. I agree with Odrori that if he is proven wrong or can't continue his argument and CONTINUES to post the same thing over and over again than he should be warned. That's why we need mods who are regulars here who can see that kind of behaviour. If we start banning everyone we perceive as a racist, then we run the risk of limiting our perspectives. I'd rather be open-minded about EVERYTHING and choose what ideas I subscribe to rather than having things filtered out and then presented to me.

Like I said, if that person becomes a disruption, or a flamer they SHOULD get banned. I'm just saying we should at least give them the opportunity to say what's on their mind rather than censoring what they have to say.
