and following ur logic.....

tiesto
armin
oakenfold
bond

....arent trance dj's either.

Altho PvD's more than just a trance DJ, he's best at it , but can play other things, its called versatility.

versatility implies he plays these other genres well, I don't think he does. Oaky and Tiesto deffo no trance djs nemore. bond debatable. armin is deffo a trance dj, the vast majority of what he plays is trance. Pvd it's never above 80% trance as far as i can tell.

what gets me is you and his fans argue against him, he doens't even call himself a trance dj, he calls himself an elctronic dance music dj, this , i agree with.

Edit: Now Ben has gone things will get better there. I cant understand why your all wishing him off that guy seems to have fucked the place up enough. What good he seems to have done:

Made crasher monthly, after B&W night it started to go shit. The monthlys before that was mint. Why oh why did they have to change it too monthly. I once read on the website that they did it becuase clubbers are more botherd about going to big events rather than small clubby ones. What aload of shite. Maybe there was a good enough reason to do with finances but still. Secondly he keeps putting on these fucking annoying and utter pointless theme nights that make the place look crap, everyone looks the same and i can not be arsed one bit messing about making outfits. Nye was a exception. Its only once a year i can understand that. But not every other month. I go clubbing to hear the music i love not to piss about for ages trying to make something that i know everyone else is gonna look the same as me.
Thirdly i get a letter from crasher promising me cheap entry on a Q jumpers guestlist. I try getting on it but it gets me no where. I phone up 3 times thru out the day. Hes not in so im told to email him. I emails him, & i get no reply still none to this date so i bought my ticket and saved myself the grief.
Whats more the line ups are nothing special. Only recently it seems like its picking up.

Sounds like hes fucked the place up enough now hes doing a runner and leaving it for someone else to pick up.

He might have done some wonderfull shit, so u can all argue and flame the fuck out of me as much as u like. But comming from my eyes and some of my friends this guy seems like a prick.

ben:

stopped the cyber ban
took away the door whores
stopped the prog taskeover of gc (i think)
tried despiratly to save the failing club
tried to make gatecrasher ineresting
organised the album launch party
other things i forge,t aks ppl who ahve been goin longer

also it was rianey idea for monthly as he cud rake in cash from s11dj o nthe other saturdays.

Posted by Dom on Mar-26-2003 21:15:

armins blatently a trance dj and he claims he plays EDM

people would consider him a trance dj yes?

so i would consider PvD a trance dj, whatever he says, fucks sake, the music speaks for itself.

just cos they don't wanna be pigeonholed into one style, doesnt mean they do not specialise in one genre.

Argh, just shut up everyone! Dave Pearce owns you all! END OF!

can't say I've ever seen him other than peak time, I guess we'll see at the armin 8 hour.....
if his 12 hour job from the hague was anything to go by, we should be in for a fair bit

his mixing technique releases a burst of energy into the crowd

Posted by Acid Circus on Mar-26-2003 21:28:

Crasher ain't dead, it ain't gonna die anytime soon, it still rules the roost. Scott Bond are Matt Hardwick are too good and too big for any event they reside at to just die on its arse. They are going ahead with some exciting ventures in the next few months, watch this space...

Yea, you should have seen the way he got ther crowd going at the sheffield dance party. He came on after that shitty Matt Hardwick (who totaly ruined the event) and was fucking storming! There is no warm up in Dave Pearce's sets, just tune after tune after tune!

Is that a fact or an informed guess? It just seems funny how Gc has lost the NEC, its promoter and they have speant alot of money re-doing the republic, probably so they can sell it!

acid circus - do u know this for a fact? im reasonably sure these 'new ventures' arent going to take place in sheffield, and for me....crasher not at the republic ain't crasher.
