even though theres nothing on the Docks site, the time frame makes sense since hes gonna be at Aria in Montreal on the 13th on June.

Smiley DJ hmmm

Hmm, tiesto at open docks, on a summer night sounds great.
I'll prolly go but there's a bad side of the coin.
Prolly no less than $40 cover + $40 to highwire + $20 for a cab back home = an expensive night out for me.
Somehow I don't think the guy's worth more than $25 cover...

(boo me)

When you charge as much as he does, the venues/promoters have no choice but to charge $30-$50 cover. Be glad, in other places it would be much higher - Goldclub sponsering brings down the cost a lot.

Oh and I doubt this will have anything to do with 103.5 or any other T.O. radio station - they don't even know who the hell Tiesto is let alone want to sponser the event. No, I'm pretty sure this will be Goldclub's deal.

The trance sets I have seen since Dec. 14th have put Tiesto to shame.

Let's hope he gets into the atmosphere a little this time.

I am now in an official quandry -Tiesto or Marco V?

I think it'd make perfect sense for the Docks to start bringing in DJ's during the week... they couldn't host "raves" all winter which I'm sure made them lose a lot of revenue, so once they re-open they bring in DJ's that draws crowds. I've always loved the Docks, it's still not KH or Viva, but it's still a great place.

or maybe i'm just in love with the laser they have there

so boys and girls, anybody hear any more about this? I can't find it anywhere else on the net...primetimemanagement has nothing beyond May 10th, and amonly.com (tiesto's north american agency) doesn't have anything at all, since he won't be back in North America past May.

So.....come on.....who else knows about this shit? SMITTY WANTS TO KNOW!

TIESTO!

Well, if its anything like his last time at The Docks, we're in for a big treat!!! Wintergalactic 2001 was freakin amazing. And whats with everyone bashing the docks!?!??!

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Apr-05-2003 16:16:

I'm not bashing the Docks.....never been there. I, for one, welcome the change from Guv/Kool Haus. I think the big boys should be spread around more, as long as the place can hold a few thousand people.

I still think the management at The Docks should consider having this outside right on the lake if they can. That way, a lot of people can come and it'll just be better to party outside in June rather than sweat your balls off inside. That's one thing about partying in the summer....the clubs are sweat shops!

Posted by DiS on Apr-05-2003 18:38:

Let me guess, its a 19+ event?

NO can do ...

Freakin' 99 was held out doors at the Docks, in many many huge tents.

19,000 ppl showed up ... the bass from jungle room was too loud, it was so extreme that all the condos on lake shore felt the bass. The sound system in the jungle room was turned down multi. times. Freakin' 99 was force to shut down at 5am. From that day, one of the protocals that rave promoters had to follow was to hold events that were no where close residental areas and it must be indoors. That's why Area 1 had a shutdown time at midnight.

Oh....well shit. I'd really love to experience an outdoor rave like they have in England and Holland. Something like Creamfields and DanceValley or something.....oh well. I'll be there of course...sweating my balls off inside a hot club in the heat of summer!

yeah, I went to that last year. It was ok but hardly the A class talent like Creamfields or DanceValley.

What I meant was an outdoor event with the likes of PVD, Tiesto, AVB, Matt Darey, etc one after the other for 10 hours all outdoor. But what am I saying....Canada will never get anything like that.
