possibly but the fact still is that he mentioned 'produces' when it's only a DJing poll, well in theory anyway, I dunno how many people voted for their favourite producers anyway.

We all know it bettter now: who made it to the "Top 10" and to the "Top 3". We do not know, however, the exact number of votes (or points) the "BIG 3" or "BIG 10" got.

It would be interesting to compare the numbers. Swamper?

i took a study break to peruse this voting which i missed out on unfortunately. observations:

Armin wins deservedly. Great productions, great radio show, great Dj-ing. It's pointless for sasha fans or goa fans to bash him. Those styles are so different. besides, this is Armin's year.

Tiesto is a great producer. Sweet Misery is my favorite tune of the year. However, he is a terrbile Dj technically. While ISOS IV is one of the top mix CDs of the year imo, (WAY better than Nyana) it's main strenght is still not mixing or track order but track selection. Some things never change. Summary: he should be lower due to [at times] atrocious mixing.

Like many people have said, Above and Beyond are not top 10 category. I'm really not sure how this happened.

people who gripe about their favorite techno/psy/house/breaks/etc. djs not being high enough need to realize this is still tranceaddict and trance djs will get priority for that reason. I'm actually surprised how popular Zabiela is here.

this poll does blur the line between productions and Dj-ing as seen by the inordinately high rankings of ATB, NuNRG, BT and others.

The guy who said only people from the club scene should be allowed to vote doesnt realize many of us live in places where it is not feasible to see live Dj performances (ie Louisville KY). I've never seen Armin, Tiesto, Ferry, PVD.. anybody live. However I am a diehard trance fan and I believe I can make educated decisions about a Dj's prowess from livesets/productions/mix CDs. I'm sure I am not the only one in this category.

markus schulz has never done anything to impress me. I shudder at the thought of his voice and his productions and his livesets. sorry markus fans.. i severly dislike him as a Dj. I'll never understand why he's so popular.

judge jules made one of the best sets ever imo, minus some retarded scratching, in quontact 2000 posted right here on TA (some of you oldtimers may remember this). But he has seriously fallen off recently and wouldnt even make my top 250 for this year.

my vote for top 10 DJs had I been able to cast it, would have been:
1. Armin
2. PvD
3. Ferry
4. John 00 Fleming
5. James Holden
6. Scot project
7. Infected Mushroom
8. Oakenfold
9. Tiesto (only b/c his damned track selection is so good)
10. Christopher lawrence

Finally, congrats and welcome 00! I have been a long time fan of your livesets and mix Cds as well as some productions. get your own radio show and maybe crack top 10 next year! (if A& B can do it so can you lol)

this got a little lengthy but i havent posted anything in a damned long time because, as someone mentioned earlier elitists run everyone off these boards.
