You douche. It's not about who can kill the most people.

sucked into the image of escalated numbers in civillian deaths? i think its quite a strong point even when most of the world disagrees with the methods and measures israel is taking.

Most of the world is not in Israels position, so most of the world has no right to say anything.

You mean the measures the Hizbollah is taking.
Israel cannot be blamed for Hizbollah's use of using women and children (and the U.N.!) as shields.
Granted, there has been screw ups on Israel's side however, there are still more deaths per day in Iraq than all the days combined in Lebanon right now.

But wait Iraq is a free country and they have elections so who cares of people are dying.

Palestine (Hebrew: פלשתינה Palestina, also ארץ ישראל, Eretz Yisrael (Land of Israel), a term for the same area; Arabic: فلسطين‎ Filastīn or Falastīn) is one of many historical names for the region between the Mediterranean Sea and the banks of the Jordan River, plus various adjoining lands to the east and south. Many different definitions of the region have been used in the past three millennia.

The portion of the land located west of the Jordan River was also called "land of Canaan" during the period in which it fell under the control of Egyptian vassals traditionally descended from Canaan the son of Ham. After the split of the United Monarchy into two parts, the southern part became the Kingdom of Judah and the northern part the Kingdom of Israel.

The term "Palestine" comes from the word Philistine, the name of an ethnic group which lived in the southern coast of the region. The Philistines disappeared as a distinct group by the Assyrian period. What is possibly the earliest mention of them occurs in Egyptian texts which record a people called the P-r/l-s-t (conventionally Peleset), one of the Sea Peoples who invaded Egypt in Ramesses III's reign. The Hebrew name פלשת (Pəleth or P(e)lshet, translated Philistia in English) is used in the Bible to denote the coastal region inhabited by the Philistines. The Assyrian emperor Sargon II called the region Palashtu in his Annals. The Greek form Palaistini from which English "Palestine" is ultimately derived, was first used in the 5th century BCE by Herodotus who wrote of the "district of Syria, called Palaistini". The boundaries of the area he referred to were not explicitly stated, but Josephus used the name only for Philistia. Ptolemy also used the term. In Latin, Pliny wrote of a region of Syria that was "formerly called Palaestina" when describing the eastern coast of the Mediterranean.

However, the name really stuck thanks to the Brits:

That was back in 1920, 27 years before the establishment of the State of Israel. Why do you ask? Do you need an explanation of what a "Israel" is?

Israeli offensive costs Lebanon 2.46 bln usd
BEIRUT (AFX) - The devastation caused by three weeks of Israeli bombardments in Lebanon has caused losses of 2.46 bln, 0.5 bln usd of it this week alone, according to the most recent official figures.

"The total losses to infrastructure, buildings, industries, the distribution and energy sectors and to military installations has gone up around 500 mln usd in the third week of the Israeli aggression to reach 2.46 bln usd," according to the report.

A first estimate commissioned by the government from the Council of Development and Reconstruction last week put the cost of the destruction caused by the Israeli army offensive since July 12 at 2.07 bln usd.

No, they don't.
If they did, they would have flatten Lebanon days ago and you know it.

No one said no one cared.
There are still extremists however that don't recognize anything to do with democracy thinking it's a "Western thing" and a threat to their existance.
Obviously these people need to take a trip and visit their more moderate Western brethren...

Yes, yes, it has to be Bushhitler's fault somehow doesn't it?
It's not like this hasn't been a problem since BEFORE he was president.
Come on man, get off this tired arguement.

What im talking about is not what Israel was given to them. Im talking about the land that Israel conquered from Jordan, Egypt & Syria. If a country is gonna occupy some1 elses land & impose thier own set of new rules & laws to the people that live there, well theres gonna be a hell of alot of problems. If i woke up one morning & seen on the news that the USA got invaded & I saw Chinese or Russian tanks occupying my neighborhood, im not just gonna sit back & take it. So i really dont blame the people gettin wacky when that happens to them.

forgive me if im wrong, but wasnt israel's attack in the 6-day war merely pre-emptive against nations mobilising for war against it?
