If crunch time is the finals, Lebron is 0-2 already. He made it the 1st time and lost 0-4 against the spurs. Had no wins and now 1 win. I shake my head and wonder how he plays defense and offense in the season and during the 1st,2nd and 3rd round of the playoffs. When it really matters in the end he just falls apart.
Simple is Miami played like crap and Dallas played good. It was not even a close series where both could have played well. Dallas was the better tean and would win again if they had the chance.
Other than lebron, the miami heat had the ability to be inconsistent but still have 3 great players but doing that against Dallas which had its ish together did not fly.
Happy that Kidd, Nowitzski, terry, etc got one. Even J.J. Barea has one!!! Cuban can die happy now or move on to his next big gig. Buying another mediocre/decent team and give them $$ for their chance to win a championship while getting in their way
Didn't really follow the playoffs at all (don't really follow the NBA at all actually) but just the amount of pure BS that Miami spouted in their run up to failure is amazing. I wasn't even trying to follow the games and it was enough to make me sick.
So glad to see a cocky team like this that felt entitled get fucking smacked down.
Almost as good as the 2001 World Series win by Arizona.

Yeah. I would have written it too, but I thought the bet was a tad silly to begin with, so I'm not going to force you to write anything. I'm not that vindictive. To be honest, I was very confident that it was you who was going to lose, but I don't really care enough to want to read a 1000 word essay about the Heat anyways, unless of course you want to, and it would be funny.

I still can't believe they won it! I told my wife during the last game that, if they play like this again in Game 6, they will be champions. She reminded me of that last night with about 8:30 to go in the 4th and I didn't even want to acknowledge that statement for fear it would jinx them. This is the first time I've really followed players for their entire careers (Kidd, Nowitzki) and seen them win a championship. I was too young to remember or appreciate the struggles that Jordan had prior to his championships so to understand what both Dirk and Jason went through - well, it may be presumptuous but, it makes me so proud of them. Particularly because they've over and over again conducted themselves like champions even prior to accomplishing it.
Yay, blow jobs for all!
Ygrene, why do you always push your wife in the way of my insults?
Breaking news!!
Dallas just announced tomorrow is Lebron James day! Everyone gets to leave work 12 minutes early

Basketball has become the most ego driven, non-team spirited sport in a long time.
Baseball has its issues, but its just over all a better, more civilized game.
aka less black people.
I agree. Baseball might be boring for some people, but those people usually don't understand the intricacies of the game. It's a little more complex than "put the ball in the hole." I like that it's one of the few sports where the defense has the ball.
I thoroughly enjoy baseball, and way more today than when I was younger. Basketball is just more fun to watch in person, on tv, and play IMO. I'm not concerned about the ego stuff... baseball players are egomaniacs too.
Fun fact: throughout all of professional baseball at the player, coach, and manager level, there are a combined total of 26 college degrees.
To each his own I guess. It's a lot easier for me to enjoy watching a baseball game of teams I don't care about than a basketball game of teams I don't care about because I appreciate all the little things that go into each play (especially at a very high level like the majors). I'd have to disagree about playing though. I guess it's harder to organize a game between 18 people instead of 10 or 6, but there's nothing like playing baseball imo.
You're right though, most MLB players are recruited out of high school or leave college after a year or two.
On that note:
Best rivalry in all of sports. Except for this year because the Yankees suck. Go Sox
