thanks !

I don't know what's the problem, but some of my tracks cannot be analyzed by Rapid Evolution 2. Seems to be all tracks bought from audiojelly... weird.

What type of format does Rapid Evolution like to see? MP3, WAV? Some downloads are in weird formats. Like mp3 something.

I have a free mp3/wav converter on my home computer. Which converts any file including itunes stuff down to MP3 and WAV. I think it works on both mac and pc. I'll post the link to night.

Audiojelly files work on Mixed In Key. But MIK isn't free software though.

yeah its like 60 bucks

I decoded the files in WAV and scanned them again, it worked.. I don't know why I didn't think about that before !

Thanks guys !

and yeah, I prefer a freeware instead of paying, but I must say that if Rapid Evolution didn't exist, i'd pay for MIK. It's so useful !

Hey bro, just in case you might need it in the future. The converter software I use is, Switch Sound File Converter. It's made by NCH Software. I don't know the direct website off of the top of my head, but it should be at the top of a Google search. The converter is free. There's some other stuff available for the program, but they charge for that stuff. But you still get the free converter. Hope this helps. And this software will convert purchased iTunes m4a files to mp3 as well.

MIK is $58.00. $90.00 additional for the Platinum normalizer thing they offer for it.

He he, seeing this thread turn up again in a post brings back some memories.

Going to be doing some stuff for youtube soon that will explain a bit further. Seems to be a contentious issue as ever with people always fighting over the virtues of it.

I was well into this too at one point! Remember reading everything on this topic years ago. At the end of the day its just very basic music theory.
