I think in an ideal world Markus would not have closed tonight. Bearing in mind especially Armin would have had the place jumping with the anthemic trance, it is difficult for Markus to incorporate his sound to that level right away. He loves building sets right up to grip people in right from the beginning, and more often than not, it works.

I agree som uch that i will see MArkus for a 3 hour set in the coming weeks. But his style does not work following someone like Armin. At least it doesnt till hes built it to his level.

The tunes are lovely but there is a distinct lack of energy which he kinda had at the start but is lost a bit now

I dunno.. I've seen Markus a million times because I am from Miami and all the time he's closed after Armin he has SAAAVED the night.

Armin never plays like he did today. Atleast Stateside. I've seen Markus open, headline and close and I think he does it proper.

It's ok.. different views I guess

Thats because ASOT 250 was friggin amazing. Askew, Armin and Menno at the end were electric that night from Asta Den Haag.

The bottom line is the sets jsut aint as good as they were back then
