We got entry into the club as long as you bought one cocktail at the bar we got the tix from (= long island iced tea @ 7 euros). Ticket prices are nowhere near as expensive as ppl make them out to be, youd have to be an idiot or just plain rich to pay door prices.
Did take a look around the day but mainly went just went to the beaches (Platja de ses Salines in the south is the best, I stayed at Platja den Bossa which wasnt bad either). Not much sightseeing really other than the old fort, but Ibiza isnt made for that really.
I dont think I saw any Asians (max. 5) during my 5 days. It was mainly Spanish and Italians. A lot of Brits too but from what I gather a lot of them stay at San Antonio on the other side of the island because its generally cheaper there. Met about 5 Aussies during my stay, theyre a rare bunch there.

Im in Barcelona now having got the ferry back from Ibiza earlier today. Saw Sasha @ Space last night, first half of his set was boring but the second half was pretty good. Did end up going to Pacha on Wed. and that was really good. Josh Wink was really boring but Morillo played fairly well despite some cheese but I spent most of the night in the funky room (el cielo), that was sooo much fun.

Will spend some chilled days in San Sebastian coming up but next major dance stop is both nights at GK Global Gathering (with a stopover at Turnmills). Then off to both nights of Dance Valley to wrap up.

d00d im in Barcelona to, red as a tomato from the beach, but i leave tomorrow for Ibiza

ive seen enough churches and walked enough spiral stairs on this trip to last me a lifetime.

but Paris was good i found

Posted by muli on Jul-25-2005 10:44:

1. Nice
2. Berlin
3. Dublin
4. Amsterdam
5. London
6. Paris

See there is a lot more to do in Amsterdam then the Red Light district and smoking weed! Which is why i think some people get bored of it quickly.

Paris i just found to many freakin churches.

We stayed right at the Arc De Triumph. On great thing about paris tho was the massive parks in the middle loved just relaxing in those. Also dinner in the eifel tower was something ill never forget

fuck i wanna be back in europe

I'm with Paris FTW. Nice is just a beach. What's there that you see or do back home? Nothing IMO.

My Parisian hilghlights were lots of good coffee, the cool vending machines that you can buy anything in, Un Jabon bagget et Ham sivupla (sp), red wine and cheese @ night under the tower. <3 Paris!

Amsterdam for me I want to go back just to take photos of, it's a very diverse city, but in terms of things to do and see it's pretty limited. I'm still wanting to go to Vonel Park tho! I'd also like to go to other areas in Holland! The country is more then it's city

I'd stick Berlin #2, after Paris. Dublin seems boring to me (haven't been tho), and the fact you're Irish would prolly help I <3 Irish gals tho

London would come last to me, soo much the same as here it's not funny. (Mind you London will be my home 1 day)

Heres my top 10 places when i went ot Europe:

1. Salzburg
2. Interlaken
3. Amsterdam
4. Rothenburg
5. Innsbruck
6. Zermatt
7. Rome
8. Vienna
9. Nuremberg
10. Fussen

Most overatted:
1. Venice <- can't go 5 minutes without someone trying to scam you for money
2. Florence <- without the statue of David this town has nothing
3. Munich <- was good, but so many smaller places close by were 10x better.

Keep the pics coming you guys, good to see them!

Posted by muli on Jul-26-2005 02:01:

yea actually i would swap london and paris.

But as u said, will probably end up living there one day haha

Oh and reason why i rate Nice' so much?

I just LOVE beaches, I'm a sucker for them. I loved the blue water, the hot weather, the mediteranian feel, the cliffs, the old town like feel next to the water, the hot chicks

My fav holidays are anything by the water! can't get enough of the beach.

Just a quick one to say we're all in London now.

Ibiza was insane! i dont know what ppl are talking about when they say its expensive.. we stayed on top of Savanah i.e on cafe del mar with a ocean view and massive balcony to watch the sunset.. worked out to be around $AUD50 a night. the drinks ok are expensive but they mix a big drink.

Love how all the headlines play in small bars early on b4 the gig, Armin played next door to us at the Sun Sea Bar for a 25min set, the place was empty so it was basically just us chilling to it. then the next night seb fontaine played, then wed picotto played at cafe mambo, then thur sasha and lawler at sun sea bar again.

Then you hit the clubs! amazing i have tonnes of photos ill try and get up

anyway take it easy!

Cheers

Believe it or not I got sunburnt too (a remnant of San Sebastian), my skin is peeling..so gross...

Well spent last two nights in Paris and got to fulfill my dream of seeing Dimitri from Paris *in* Paris. It was on a boat moored on the Seine opposite le Musee d'Orsay. Very fortunate that he was playing then because he rarely plays in Paris these days. Absolutely top night of disco - classics and new funky stuff. Got pretty drunk on champagne beforehand but man that headache was worth it. Have a few pics up soon.

BTW didn't mention it here but OMFG PvD's Essential Mix Live from Global Gathering. 10/10! Friday was pretty average although Underworld played all their classics which was wicked ending off with my favourite of theirs: Jumbo. But Saturday was definitely 100 times better. Tiesto played some 01/02 tunes and the crowd was going nuts but he lost the vibe about 3/4 of the way through. Eddie Haliwell did a superb job too in the GK arena which had the best proiduction I've ever seen. Saw soo many others I'll just have to mention another time.

To add to to the previous discussion, I've spent a fair amount of time in the Netherlands now (manily in Utrecht which is a town/city 30 min outside of Amsterdam). I really like the relaxed nature and natural friendliness of Dutch people. Please don't base your perceptions of the Netherlands on Amsterdam; the red light district is not representative of the Netherlands as a whole.

Well anyway off to experience some more Dutch culture camping out with some Dutch guys for the next two days at Dance Valley.
