right now im toning cuz im about to go on a trip for 2 weeks and just want it all to firm up.

but normally trying to bulk.

---

and wow, flint, youre looking very toned hehe. You have like 6% body fat!

Can you measure biceps, chest, thighs, etc to get an idea of how gigant0r you are?

ok these are the measurements i assume your talking to me:

height 5"11
weight 142 lbs

l arm (Bicep) 13" (flexed)
r arm (Bicep) 13" (flexed)

l forearm 11"
r forearm 11"

waist 30.5" (measured at pelvis)
chest 38" (measured at nipple height)

l calve 13"
r calve 13"

l thigh 19"
r thigh 18"

my body fat is probably around 9% i would assume.. last time i measured it was 11%.. and that was more than 6months ago

Posted by Orbax on Jan-06-2005 21:46:

lol yeah i was talking to you hehe. Man I dont get how youre 20 lbs lighter and have same measurements! Thas crazy shit. You must have a 24 inch waist or something!

there are a couple of ways to do it, but i'm sure the method most people are talking about are like a skin fold test...

basically the measure how much skin they can grab in certain areas and based on that they kind of get an idea...

im at 141 lbs.. 5"11, not an all time high but none the less..

your extreme lean, good work, if you could keep that leanness and add 3" to your arms and about 5" to chest, you'd be a savage,

probably 25 or 24 inches if i suck it in all the way.. i measured from my pelvis right.

also you have a couple of inches on me on the calves

and my bone structure seems to be smaller than yours

those are savage gains for less than a month, while losing weight, 4" on chest is awesome,it could take some people 8 months to a year to do that. have you comparison pics you can post for those 2 dates?

well theres some scales that measure it.. (i dont know how they work exactly)

and also there are machines that work like blood pressure machines that can calculate your % body fat, % water etc.

thats how i found out mine

i did it at my local gym with one of the trainers

Posted by Orbax on Jan-06-2005 22:55:

So heres the old one

and heres the new

also i think i had worked out an hour before in the old one.

any way. I attribute most of the size to rib cage expanding exercises. The incline flies have really opened up my chest I think. But its also something ivebeen focusing on. So i think its a little expansion a little growth

runs electricity through youa nd measures voltage or something. ims ure there a more technical explanation but thats the basic concept

lol that belts looking a bit loose

are u sure you gained weight around your waist? or are you changing your measuring position?

definately look way more toned in the second pic.

just out of curiousity

how much do you bench flat in comparison to incline?

i would guess there is a slight if even a difference due to the fact that you have a large upper chest

Posted by Orbax on Jan-06-2005 23:16:

Ive been workong on obliques and stuff so maybe that widened the waist. and I my bench is about the same. I never do barbell cuz i never have apartner but my routine is this

1x12 with 35lb dbs on incline (these are for flies)
followed by 3x10 with the 55s

if im benching i do 60s-70s on incline

on flat im doin 60-70 as well. I used to hit the 100s but didnt give me bulk or definition I wanted.

Uhmmm yeah i focus on upoper chest though, i like hhow it makes shirts hang hehe.

Don't you need some instruments for that?

How can you tell what % is your body fat by just grabbing your skin?
