haha i'm going to a yoga class at my gym at 7:30

yoga is so gay, but my mom is right. i need to start off slow...take a gay yoga class or 2 just to get used to being in the gym again.

See, Im beginning to get that feeling that I jumped into the gym way too quick/hard... after a couple weeks, I started to slow down.

My first day back in the gym I ran for 40 mins (when I was in shape and working out, I could hardly get through 15 mins so it was wierd). It felt great though.

Im gonna tone it down a bit, stick to the weights for now, with brisk running.

Well, when i was regularly working out, I'd run 3 miles a session in about 20 mins and then concentrate on weights. Worked out well for me

I need to get back this week.

Id run 3 miles in 30-35 mins. I would take my time, let my legs dictate what pace to run at, about 20 mins into it, Id be rippin it.

my sister does hot yoga, got her into great shape. Along with a balanced diet and a good exercise routine of course.

She did get crazy flexible and balanced though

oh well, it got me movtivated though...to go and do a normal workout tomorrow. the whole time i was looking out into the gym watching everyone on the treadmills n stuff thinking, "god this is so gay, i want to be out there"

Muscle Milk rocks. Have you tried NO-Xplode? Gay name, awesome product. It mainly helps with focus which is really important for getting those last couple reps out.

Yeah I've used it, I'm kind of afraid of taking too many supplements though. I hear stories about passing kidney stones and stuff, no thanks

Gonna get back on NO-Xplode probably in the next few weeks. I need more muscle milk too. Can I take those together?

oh definitely, one is a protein drink with vitamins, one is an energy supplement. They compliment each other perfectly.

- Note: Incline dumbell press, this shit gets my heart rate up like crazy, when I finished, I sat down at the row machine for like 5 mins to calm down.

Cool that's what I thought, wasn't sure if Muscle Milk had any energy supplement stuff in it or not. Certainly felt that way, but it might have just been mental

Although I don't understand the first part of what he said, he's correct, you burn your glycogen reserves with aerobic workout and then you're too weak for anaerobic (weights).

Yeah always do cardio after lifting. But drink your muscle milk or whatever after weightlifting and before cardio. You need that protein right after.

What if you split up your cardio? 10 mins in the beginning, weight lift, followed by 15-20 mins after? That's what I do, the 10 min run in the beginning tends to get me pretty energized to work out. Only problem is running an additional 15 mins after the workout, I get pretty lazy and only do like 7 or 8
