Ok, so I've been in the EDM scene in Montreal for about 6 years now, Sona (sniff sniff) then Aria (I will also miss it a lot) and recently Stereo (Don't you dare close and leave no good afterhours in MTL). I've been on the tranceaddict closet for a year, not signing up, just stalking all your conversations and after a while recognizing some of you guys at the events. I always go to the Montreal EDM scene with the same 4 loyal friends, one of which is also a big TA reader. Anyway, I love Trance, Progressive and House but mostly Trance. I finished school at Concordia and been working for over 8 months now with no access to music so my only escape is this forum. Hope to meet you all. I'm going to Rank 1 @ Stereo, Can't wait for it, 17 days and counting!!! (too much time sitting on a desk job waiting for this day). Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. Hello All.

I'm Paul. I ve living in Montreal for the past 2 and half year trying to study but mostly mixing in my room.
Been mixing for 4 years and went from simple deep house, to trance, to hard techno, to hardcore/gabber, to RnB, to DnB, to House, to Acid, and finally to european techno, progressive and tek.
I would say the best party i had were at Aria 1 year back when i truly was a "mess" hahaha.
Gonna stop writing here.. My life is boring.
Aight ppl
Peace
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Paul

what do u mix with at home?
for the moment 1 vestax pdx 2000, 1 dual cd player numark CDN 88
, and 1 xone 62 A&H.
All connected to Final scratch 1.5 HAHAHA...
Hello TA!
Hi my name is Passkal and I am an addict.
Wasn't addicted to Trance until recently. Turns out I was a minimal and electro addict. Guys like Bodzin, Huntemann, Shumacher, Vonstroke, Remo, Booka Shade and Holden were my fix. These days, I'm hooked on the tranciest tracks and since sometimes the line is so thin between a minimal track and trance, I thought I might find other people like me is this joint.
Aside from that, I am a medium to well done patyer. Both in clubs and after-hours/massives. I am a promoter for the Mile End bar. I host one party a month called Top Gun Productions presents EXPERIENCE. I also promote at Balroom bar and larger events such as Tistik or NO EXCUSE.
My favorite place to party is Stereo and Parking (on Thursday).
Don't hesitate to drop a line or say hi. My range of interest is pretty large!!
P.s. DJ X-CUbe introduced me to this forum when he posted the NO EXCUSE (Huntemann + Bodzin) event here for me.
Passskal
I'm David. Lived here all my life. I'm of Croatian ethnicity. I am a student at Vanier (last semester), not sure if I'll be going into radiology or Psych afterwards.
Been into trance as far as I can remember..
Dunno what else to really say. lawl...
Don't go into psychology at the university level. Biggest mistake I ever made. I'm in it now and dying to get out. I'll be switching into Early Childhood Education. Teaching 1+1=2 is much easier than the complex and varying parts as well as the functions of the fucking visual cortex. Then there's the implications it has on the central nervous system plus a bunch of other crap. Psyc made me feel dyslexic and incompetent but maybe that was just me

Welcome though

Just make sure you check out these classes before you do anything
definitive:
Research Methods in Psychology (PSYC 310)
Statistical Inquiry (PSYC 315)
Learning I & II(PSYC 346)
Fundamentals of Abnormal Psychology (PSYC 322)
Sensation & Perception I & II (PSYC 349)
Ummmmmmmm what else?
Cognitive Development I & II is a fucking bitch...
Motivation I & II
Basically, I was not understanding ANYTHING I was reading, I could barely pronounce the words I was trying to read. After being on honour roll with 85%+ averages all my freaking student life, my self esteem as a student was shot waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down.
And oh yeah, unless you have your CEGEP biology, you'll have to take BIOL 202 or 201 (201 is more lab based)...It sucks.
That's only the tip of the iceberg my dear. THEN after your 3-4 years of your Bachelor's, you are totally obliged to specialize if you wanna be an actual psychologist and not the person sharpening his pencils. Specialization means graduate school which means more time and money which means high competition which means blah blah blah, you get my point.
Oh yeah one more thing: Books on average cost about 600$ to 800$ for 4 classes (12 credits). And you have approximately 500 pages of fine print to read EVERY week.
Hope it works out for you dude
