Forget about the player with the highest percentage of first ballot votes, Tom Seaver? And players don't choose what hat they're going to wear in the HoF. He's going in as a Met. And if he were to choose, he'd choose the Mets anyway. |

FLOYD SUCKED BEFORE HIS CAREER YEAR THIS YEAR. THE PLAYER CHOOSES REMEBER IT WAS A BIG DEAL WHEN BOGGS WANTED TO WEAR A DEVIL RAYS CAP, BEFORE HE CAME TO SENSES, THAT WHY GEORGE MADE A WINFIELD DAY TO KISS HIS ASS SO HE WOULD WEAR A YANKEE CAP DIDNT WORK |

| Originally posted by Vlad lol, there gonna have to make room on that wall in yankees stadium... Jeter and Mariano are definitely getting their numbers retired. When Jeter gets his number retired... #6 will be the only number bet. 1-10 that isnt retired. PS: Than again, Torre wears #6... but I doubt they will retire it. PPS: They will retire it if he wins this year, as well as a couple more in the next 5-6 years, IF hes still managing the Yanks. |

Plus, IMO, Mariano shouldn't even be wearing that number anymore. The one number I don't have a problem with being retired is 42. But they shouldn't have allowed Vaughn and Mariano to continue wearing it. Oh well...

I dont really like the whole robinson being retired throughout, but both Mo's had better careers than Jackie anyway, so why take the shirt off there backs

(CS stats weren't kept until '51, but I'd estimate it to about 58 CS's) 30/18 SB/CS for Mo. .311/.409/.474 for Jackie in a non-offensive era. .293/.383/.523 for Mo in an extreme offensive era. |

Well he started with that number before it was retired, so whatever. Atleast he is doing that number justice.

I know that Trancehater loves juicers (or just Juiceambi) but in my book, comparing him to someone that revolutionized baseball by pushing the door for blacks to enter the sport is very insulting! Think about it this way, Jackie played the game when everyday he had to come to the ballpark to racist slurs. Or to continually get death threats trying to get him to quit. The pressure on Jackie was more than anyone probably in the history besides Hank Aaron chasing the Babe. Jackie is a stud. Mo Vaughn pales in comparison to those achievements. |
