Why do some of you have to act so fucking snotty?? There's really no need to act like a bunch of pricks. Jealously is an ugly thing.

I saw PvD last Thursday at The Church. Paul van Dyk sucked big time. He came on banging hard, pumping the bass the whole time.

Then finally on the third track I heard a sweet little synth for about 10 seconds, then the vocal for *Satellite* kicked in..Weeeeeeee, finally a trancy track. WRONG! It sucked, he totally butchered *Satellite* He even butchered his own song *Crush* (I know you want me).

$20 cover for this crap, unbelievable. I only have two words for his performance. *He SUCKS* The way I see it.I paid $20 for the Laser show, not for his performance. Driving the bass, driving the bass, driving the bass, driving the bass!!!! PvD SUCKS LIVE!!!!! I would have left; but my friend was totally enjoying the show. I was actually enjoying the scene going on around us. Minors drinking, people wanting to buy pills, and chicks smoking a crack pipe in the club. The scene was more entertaining than PvD.

I couldnt wait for it to be over, kinda like a bad dream. Ohhhhhhh, but wait. Me actually hears a sweet tune incoming. Wo0o0o0oT! *Way Out West - Mindcircus* Yeah, you guessed it, He butchered that one too. One of my all time favorite tracks, all screwed up! The vocals were crap, the tune was crap. Too much damn bass. He reduced all the tracks to about 2 minutes each and drove the bass on to the next track. I was not impressed with this performance at all. Needless to say I will never spend any money on this guy ever again. I took all my PvD CDs and played Frisbee with the dog.

And that's what I think about that. I'm not really into the bangin hard trance. I actually n-joyed his Reflections tour much more, this performance totally threw me for a loop.

Jealous? Of what???
You're just as full of that "negative bullshit" as we are when a thread doesn't involve kissing Tiesto's ass.

I think PvD plays ass unless you see him @ Casino in Berlin or ARC in New York. He needs to update his records desperately; with maybe one or two exceptions it's the same damn set he was playing 8 mos ago.

LOL, I think you should chill out a bit, I was poking some fun at Tijs' mixing abilities, even his die hard fans know he isn't the best technical dj around. So relax before you start commin out and getting personal, notice I've never said anything about you personally, so why would you come out and start something?

Posted by AntronVee on Apr-27-2004 16:14:

whoa, this thread got angry quick. but yeah, take it easy djgrl, they were just kidding and having a laugh at how tiesto's mixing is very dodgy...it was just their opinion stated in a joking manner, i'd hardly call that "negative bullshit." also, just because we joke around about a dj it doesnt mean we dislike them, we're just having a laugh. and as mindshifter said, even tiestos hardcore fans know his mixing isn't near as good as a professional dj's should be. in fact i'll probably go to tiesto on june 3rd cuz even though his mixing isn't that good he can give a good show. plus i haven't seen him in a long time and i wanna hear what records he plays.

we got a new COTA, welcome elletek. i know what you mean about too much bass at the church but for some reason i've noticed that happens with a lot of dj's who play there. i dont know what it is, maybe their monitors in the dj booth have a horrible bass output so the dj thinks it's too low. or perhaps the sub of the monitors is fucked so to the dj it sounds quieter than what the crowd actually hears...i dunno, but i wouldnt judge your only impression of pvd live off of that one performance. when he was doing his global cd tour at the church he played an awesome show.

Posted by elletek on Apr-27-2004 16:26:

Hi AntronVee *waves* I'm just a little upset with PvD right now. I did see him last year (@ the Fillmore) for the *Reflections* tour and his performance was awesome then....I guess I was expecting the same flawless skills to appear again. I had never heard PvD spin anything in this sort of manner. It was a shook to my system. As far as the bass goes....I think he intentionally set it like that, just to get the peeps all pumped up and jumping around. the bass was not like that when I saw Ferry Corsten there a couple months back.

Posted by farley on Apr-27-2004 17:44:

I just realized today I won't even be in the states for the 3rd, and the next night I'll most likely be seeing Mauro Picotto and Ricky Effe @ GK , or if I can somehow pull it out of my ass, PvD & Sasha @ Casino in Berlin with the rest of the UKTAs...but I doubt I can pull that off. I wanted to see a real PvD set for once. Marco's set is the night before I fly out too, then I can have a few drinks and crash for the 15+ damn flight hours.

Max Graham's promo just came in the mail too

Mind, I'v had nothing but pleasant convos with you and my post wasn't even directed towards you. It was mainly directed towards Pagoda, since he always seems to be thinking he's better then everyone and knows everything. At least he comes off that way to me. As for "kissing Tiestos ass", if that was the case, I would consider every track and mix of his to be pure genius, which I don't. In fact, I think some of his productions are horrible. I was excited at the fact that i'm going to finally see him live, so I wanted to post the news because I was happy. I didn't post it to hear a bunch of Tiesto bashing in the Colorado forum. I think there is plenty of bashing of djs in the music forum already. That's why I made a comment about all of the negative bullshit being said about pretty much every fucking decent dj out there. Pagoda, instead of coming off as a total asshole, maybe you could have been a bit nicer about "your opinion". *Waits for Marco v to start getting bashed one he gets a bit more fanbase"

Posted by farley on Apr-27-2004 18:54:

Where was Tiesto bashing in this thread? I merely said you kiss his ass, which does not need to be debated; look at your sig. Should I rephrase my statement to the Blackhole camp??? Did you actually read my posts, or are you just dyslexic? I never once bashed Tiesto or even posted my "opinion", and PvD DOES need to update his records. I guess when the time comes that Marco does get a larger fanbase, you'll put words into my mouth again and take it as bashing him
Perhaps if you would've read my first post you would've realized it wasn't directed towards you *hint r3@LiTy*(or at least when I first posted it).

Wow you got me there... You do kiss dj's asses; first it was PvD, then Tiesto and Marco too. No need to deny it. I don't really care either, I was merely stating that other than threads about him or any other dj you like at the time, you're just as negative as we are...especially about others views of djs.

BTW way to address any of my points, or have you finally realized how intelligent your last few posts were?

I was seriously hoping for a better reply from you, one that was at least worth a laugh or two. Try harder this time, please.

Dude you should just tell your dad that you have a business meeting in berlin or something and that you'll be gone for a couple of days, who knows he may fall for it.

lol a business meeting??? We would be leaving London the next day or so, maybe I can convince him even though it's so far out of the way though...but I want to see Mauro at GK too, never seen either of those and I've seen PvD and Sasha...

Plus it's a ton more money I'd have to front.
