Kinda surprising really that he didnt buy more reinforcements for the center midfield - a weakness that Barcelonas so blatantly highlighted in the CL final in May but i guess that means Hargreaves will be coming back.

My opinion is that Fergie is not buying because of how Madrid and Man City along with clubs knowing how much we got for Ronaldo have inflated player fees far and above the players actual worth and wise ol Fergie isnt going to be strong armed. I have full faith in the man and i cant wait to see how we do in the Post Ronaldo era.

we've done without Robson, Cantona, Beckham and Keane... we'll do without Ronaldo, no player is bigger than the team, the same thing with Tevez and Ronaldo happened 12 or 13 years ago (don't remember) with Hughes and Ince... and Fergie is a genius, he found Ronaldo to replace Beckham on the right wing and wear #7(some of you guys should remember the harsh critics he recieved for that action), and now i see no reason why wouldn't any of the new recruits (Obertan or Valencia) in 2-3 years reach Ronaldo's level, but only time will tell, usually i hated Fergie with his surprises, but now, i know he found something worthy...
no i don't believe in Obertan or Valencia or Owen, they got a point to prove, i believe in Sir Alex

lol so i got the state i was citing as an EXAMPLE wrong in terms of having a basketball franchise so lets just change that to Arkansas and im referring to professional franchises not college.

I really do find this concept of supporting anything your local professional franchise to be blasphemy incredibly funny. Unless your involved in the business , results in professional sports have absolutely no bearing in anyones life so who cares which team you support.

You pay 80$ for a Manchester United jersey and you enjoy watching them dominate the premier league and get you gloating rights over your peers. You pay 80$ for a liverpool jersey and you spend 20 years (and counting) being mocked by United fans. You spend 80$ on a Newcastle united jersey and you spend the rest of your life being mocked by the entire football world so why not support the club that gets you the best bang for your buck.

For many and in its purest state, to be a fan is to be so much more than just 'supporting the winning team'. It's quite clear that there are millions of "man-u-factured" fans out there (not calling you one, but you'd be daft to claim otherwise) that would most assuredly not be United fans if they finished 10th every season. It's this latching on to success that remains alien to the real locals or those with real connections who support their own club, because they simply could not fathom supporting a club for its trophy cabinet.

Like I said, I don't care who you support, but to many it seems morally objection, whether factual or not, to simply support the team that brings home the trophies.

i'm from houston, TX. i'm latin, maybe that explains why i'm into f�tbol and not baseball, or basketball, or Football....ugh
been into the only game that matters since i was a child. back since the 90's world cup with la Argentina, my first love.
started to really get into clubs in the late 90s.
houston didn't get a f�tbol team until 2005, the Dynamo. sure there were still other teams in the MLS but who the feck watches that!
now i'm in NYC, we have the RedBulls but i couldn't care less if they win or lose. I've been supporting Barcelona through the good and the bad. 2009 was amazing for us, but we've also have shitty years.

in 2005 champions league final i found myself rooting for liverpool. that comeback, MAN! now i still support them in the premiere league.
this season, couldn't be any worse.....

on the National side: La argentina (USA, sorry...i don't feel anything for the national side, it is what it is)
Clubs : Liverpool (in the premiere league) and Barcelona (in la Liga and to win everything else.)
