Here is a picture of my whole setup.



I am using my dresser as a table until I buy a house and have room to put a custom built table with the decks in it.

Here is what is ther (since it is kinda small)

2 - Technics SL-1200 MkII (pawn shop)
1 - American Audio QD-5 mixer (bought through work @ distributor cost)
2 - M-Audio BX5 powered monitors (bought @GuitarCenter)
1 custom birch plywood vinyl box (made in 5 minutes at work out of scrap)
1 Flat Eric Doll (eBay)
Headphones are in the drawer...Sony 7506 (bought @ GuitarCenter)

The carts are basic Shure SC35C s I am going to pick up a pair of M-44G's sometime in the not so distant future but for now these work just fine.

Whole setup set me back about $1100 US

This summer is D-day! I have a blueprint of the table/studio that I designed, some of you may have seen it, and some not... heres this is the table:



What you dont see in the blueprint:

-On the right side of table will be a rack mount.
-On the left side of the table with be a small platform for a CDJ, about 6" raised, and turned so that the CD slot will be facing me as I stand in front of the mixer.

*EDIT: All the stuff you see listed... is the ideal setup. I dont have it all, hehe. What I do have are the Techs and Xone, Im getting the CDJ and studio monitors next month, along with a bunch of records.*

WOW thanks man, but I won't put you through that, I think I'll have a go a something like that during the summer, but might need some modification, or it would take up alot of my room being that shape.

I finally got my mixer, so I can post some pics.

They're CDJ-800's

Oh alright. I didn't know that 800's come in black color as well.

huh unless i'm on crack, those cdjs are the original silver color. I guess in the second pic, they looks black cuz of the lighting.

gotta love the ghetto dorm room setups like i have. No space at all to do work on

Nah, I just realized that my monitor is on crack and they looked black to me. They are silver now that I adjusted my brightness.

Lol, you're right about not having any room, but all college desks are like that
