Umm?? M.I.K.E. is behind both of those tunes. Exposure is M.I.K.E. and Paul Mendez.

Then you might think he'd come up with something more original, no??
Seriously, I'm a huge M.I.K.E. fan.... but why not make a Tranzy State of Mind 2008 mix then, with a Paul Mendez remix???

Now keeping in mind the track is from 2002, no I don't think a 2008 remix would be a good idea.

I'd imagine it being somewhat difficult for producers to make extremely different sounding tracks so often when they have as many tracks/aliases as M.I.K.E.

Karen Overton - Your loving arms
Arpfiction - Don't walk away (Matthew Dekay Remix)

Afrojack - Thief sounds like a high-pitched version of Shinedoe - Phunk (Steve Angello Edit)

Storm - Storm

Spaceman - Da Sound

blatant ripoff

Remember how basshunter - dota used the melody of the chorus "Daddy DJ"? Well his new song "All I Ever Wanted" uses even more of the tune. This time he got full permission.

Posted by wolftickets on Jun-02-2008 22:58:

omg more plagiarism?
Alice DJ - Better Off Alone
DJ Dean - Love, Peace, & XTC

Max Cavalerra - 2007
Freemasons - Rain Down Love

Someone has obviously stolen the bassline here.

It really pains me to admit this, seeing as M.I.K.E. is my favorite producer by light years but when I first heard Push - Strange World (2000 remake) I really thought that the main hook in the tune was almost identical to the lead synth in Vincent De Moor's Shamu. Thing is, after a few more listens, I decided that it wasn't really identical to the VDM track. And then, after a few more listens, Strange World became one of my favorite tracks by M.I.K.E.

Strange World!!!!

Also, Cosmic Gate - Consciousness and 4 Strings - Treasure Box sound like Harmonic in the intro(the latter's hook also sounds similar, although they both came out first) Marco V - Terminal 18 also shares elements with those two, and its main riff sounds like it was ripped from some late 90's house track, can't think of it.
also(if i haven't already said it)
AVB - Astronauts
Cosmic Gate - Should have Known

Haha what? There are some members on this board that defends m.i.k.e by their teeth when it comes to the very obvious similarities of these two tracks. I mentioned it earlier in this thread and someone kinda told me to piss off I think it's been discussed a lot before, and even if it's not a ripoff they really sound much the same, so imo they deserve a place in this thread.

Shamu for me

Yeah, I would normally stand firmly in the M.I.K.E. side of the fence, but it's just, as I said those first 3 or 4 notes of the main Push riff. Strange World doesn't seem to develop the meoldy in the way that Shamu does and I supose that's why wehn I first heard it, Strange World just automatically reminded me of VDM's track. The more I listen to both tracks, the more I feel though that they are 2 completely diferent and most excellent tracks. I was just asuming that becuase the 2000 remake of Strange World came out a good year after Shamu, that the VDM melody came first but if the original Strange World melody was written first, then I guess M.I.K.E. was first.

Incidental, whilst on the subject of 2 tracks fitting together, I recntly discovered that you could play Sunscreem - Love U More and Motorcylcle - As the Rush Comes togteher and they play in perfect unison. (That was with the Markus Schulz version) Both tracks are in exactly the same key and practically the same tempo!!!

Michael Lee is also known as Magnus. The original track, was written by Michael (Magnus), and Stronghold was a collaborative rework of the track.

Binary Finary - 1998 vs Kontakt - Show Me A Sign

"Did they get any money for their Binary Finary melody being used in Kontakt / Show me a sign?
Absolutely nothing, the track was made without anyone of us knowing anything "
