The track that's playing right now is absolutely insane, its not possible.

Posted by lücid on Mar-12-2010 17:55:

also, dude. Ame is in NY on April 17th, not the week after Greg Wilson like wotyzoid said.

your best bet might be checking out Deep Space @ Cielo with Francois K. it's a weekly party every Monday night, sometimes featuring special guests. i've never been and i've heard mixed reviews, some good some bad... but it might be worth checking out.

you should have booked a trip to Miami that weekend, not NY.

I know meng!hehe but had no choice as this is part of an academic event i have to attend in NY during that week. Normally i would have been super happy if it wasnt for the crazy event im missing in Miami . Lovebirds's mix is certainly helping the healing .

Ahh yes you're right. That makes me so happy, 'cuz I thought it was the same night as my gig. It is the first MSN after Greg Wilson though right?

Posted by lücid on Mar-12-2010 18:34:

correct.

March 20 // Justin, Eamon and Greg Wilson at 1142 Myrtle Ave
April 17 // Justin, Eamon and Ame at 1142 Myrtle Ave
April 24 // Justin, Eamon and Danny Wang at 1142 Myrtle Ave
May 8 // Justin, Eamon and Henrik Schwarz Live at 1142 Myrtle Ave
May 15 // Justin, Eamon and Horse Meat Disco at 1142 Myrtle Ave

my goal this year is to corner Justin and offer whatever i need to offer to get them to book Lovebirds.

you coming out for GW?

Posted by Frenkieee on Mar-12-2010 18:40:

Are we still live? Or was it just one hour? Where can I see who's playing?

dude! that's actually a great idea. i think if we get enough people to mention Lovebirds to them, i mean... they'll sort of have to book him, right?

Haha yeah. There's tons of people I'm interested in seeing though so I might just e-mail Eamon a list.

On a side note, the ruff jamz mix by Craig Smith is out of this world and the blend mix II from The 6th Borough project is just as insane.

nice one, Jon. i haven't heard any mixes from The Noodleman but he's got some great edits. i'll give that a listen!

here's the Lovebirds broadcast from last week. apparently the recording was ripped from the radio stream so there's quite a bit of skippage. i haven't listened yet so i don't know how bad it is.

http://www.spiritsoulmixarchive.com/?p=4688

and two more really great mixes that have been on repeat for me over the last week...

Harri - Mellocore Mix

Mark E - Live @ Beta Lounge 02-07-2009

LOOK! I even made a cover art for it.

Yeah Sh33p gave you a good one to listen to. The one i posted from Noodleman on the previous page (p.95) is also another ridiculously good mix. Both sets are perfect listens to give you a really good "taste" of the genre.

You've never heard the Timewriter remix of this track? I'd think it be right up your alley.
