hehe yeah.

just a bunch of trance-made-chill tracks for listening in the car or after a big night out.

i've got enough chillout sets, check out dj river's series and corentin's series in the dj promotions forum. highly recommended.

Red Jerry's mix is sweet, but my fave compilation would be The Very Best Euphoric Chillout Mixes Breakdown (2001).

Then there's Chicane but let's not go there

I think it is an unwritten rule of DJing that you should not mix 2 tracks by the same artist in a row, ever. Unless you are doing a DJ TIESTO TRIBUTE MIX or something of the sorts. They sound good together because they were made by the same person, usually around the same time, you hack.

I feel guilty when I mix something which has the same record label as the last track but sometimes it's not worth passing that particular mix.

Discuss.

Posted by eRRaTiK on May-11-2005 00:06:

not sure who you're directing that at, but i don't mind (once in a while) for one track from one producer to mix into another track by the same producer. it's cheating but can be good.

also, not everybody has tracks from multiple labels - particularly if they like a particular label or haven't branched out yet.

generally i would agree with you though.

Posted by escee on May-11-2005 01:18:

I was directing it to jule's tracklist

infusion - girls can be cruel (king unique danger dub)
PLanet funk - the switch (king unique mix)

But just in general. It angers me. So does PLPLPLPLPLPLPL.

Posted by 00soups00 on May-11-2005 01:44:

i tend to agree with the artist/remix part
not about labels tho.

but fark as long as it soudns good, who cares..

you're still a tosser escee

Posted by Light The Fuse on May-11-2005 03:35:

ahh well thats what happens on the spot...sometimes these double(triPLe) artists in a mix things happen.

I liked the no PL jpl better.

Soups in case you haven't already gathered your opinion doesn't really matter too much to me. So come over to Perth and I'll get you a drink and we can discuss our differences over loud music.

i think it depends more on the sounds than the name. i wouldnt play two tracks by the digital blonde in a row because they sound too similar but slightly different. but if the tracks sound different and you wouldn't obviously know by listening well who cares?
