My local beer place had a Dogfish Head tap takeover a few weeks ago and I didn't realise...15 of their beers on draft and some really good, and rare stuff to get draft; World Wide Stout, Immort Ale, Fort, Olde School, etc. By the time I realised they'd whittled some of it down but there was still a reasonable selection.

I was driving. Sigh. The joke was on me.

I've been wanting to try these. The world wide stout is good on draft, but it's never knocked my socks off.

I'd had Fort in bottles before and really didn't like it. However, that was in my early craft brew days and I didn't really know what a fruity 18% ABV beer would taste like It seemed much more mellow this time but a snifter would be more than enough!

I hate Moose Drool; I'm on the line about Nou on Skype (); But is that a bamboo keyboard? Probably ok.

my fave beer is slow elk but its only brewed every other year... cowboy coffee is next... well current favorites because i got 2 free cases a month... i suppose after recent events ill be getting more beer from blacksmith which is only about 1 mile down the road, growlers only

edit: that made little sense... i used to get 2 free cases of beer every month from big sky brewery so i started favoring some of their beers although i know there are many local breweries with just as delicious (and sometimes better) beer out there, i was biased.. hope that clarifies my post although probably complicated it more

I once bought a keg of it at a party -- people were pissed.

Yeah Shock Top is pretty bad

Posted by citric_acid on Feb-01-2012 04:19:

why would you buy a keg of shock top?! that sounds horrible! (btw this is the raspberry one)

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Feb-01-2012 04:34:

She's right, nachos. You brought it upon yourself.

Posted by nchs09 on Feb-01-2012 04:48:

Shit was on SALE SON!
I bought the regular shock top. Anyhow, the keg was done in like 2 hours -- it was a pony keg not a BIG keg.

Still the host of the get together (it was like 6 people wathing a football game) was pissed lol.

Restoration Pale Ale is made with Pale, Lager, Crystal and Cara Pils malted barley. It is liberally hopped and dry hopped with American Cascade and fermented with California Ale yeast. The end result is a brilliant gold ale with a rich body, mild bitterness and a snappy fresh citrus hop flavor and aroma.

This beer can be paired with many different dishes according to your taste. The citrus flavor and aroma make it an excellent choice with most fish, especially ones that are prepared to match the flavor of the beer. American, Muenster, Havarti and Monterey Jack cheeses pair well with Restoration.

YUM.
