the answer is going to be "no", if its anything like the lineup we will get the timeslots 5 minutes before the gates open

^ doesn't makes sense, they have printed materials with the set times available during the event therefore they have probably already submitted the set times / artwork to their vendor. if this stuff is being printed there really isn't a reason why they can't share this info.

Gareth emery would be amazing in the coliseum, but as much as we beg I know insomniac wont put him up. Most people in socal have no idea who Gareth is, they're into Benni Bennasi and other mainstream electro ******s.

This was the very reason why I almost didn't buy my ticket. If Insomniac is going to water down the events, appeal to the non-EDM masses, and mix genres on the same stage, then the least they can do is make sure each of the individual stages has a good flow/progression. mixing psy-trance (J00F) with the more dreamy progressive trance of Emery and going back to psy (CL) is crazy. Simon Patterson closing out would be heaven - i'll be surprised if Insomnic does Tyas then Patterson since neither is as high on the DJ 100 as the others and they seem to be appealing to the masses, not us.

I'm cool with moving gareth to the main stage. JOOF before tyas, pleeease!

You know those massives when you're really f'ed up but you somehow just remember that one moment in time? I distinctly remember the MASSIVE DROP AND BASS during bulldozer at MM07? And Judge Jules Infinity MM08. I wish this were indoors for acoustics purposes.

Posted by first in space on Jun-21-2010 22:53:

maybe benasty will slip and fall on his way to the stage and we can all be happy?

Posted by first in space on Jun-21-2010 23:11:

just out of curiosity, i know this is "tranceaddict", but i wanna know how many of us on here find the electro/indie/nu rave scene to be a complete and total god-awful waste of space at EDC? i know thats what all the stupid kids are into but come on, do we really need that much of this music at EDC? why no techno/minimal? does anyone in california listen to that kind of music? thank god we have three decent stages on saturday, but friday i don't really want to go to any of the other stags but mainstage. why so much electro crap?

this is horrible, look how many shitty acts are crammed onto that stage, some with only 45 minute sets? is that because they blow so hard, they can barely string together a couple of tracks with out running out of material? i swear, if i see steve aoki crossing the street after the party, i WILL NOT BREAK for him!

My personal vote for Neon stage would be as follows:

Aly & Fila (opening)
Gareth Emery
Christopher Lawrence
JOOF
Sean Tyas
Simon Patterson (closing)

I know it's not perfect, and putting Gareth lower on the lineup is kinda hard to justify from a DJ 100 fame perspective. Gareth is very progressive and happy trance, so I put him earlier. I put JOOF ahead of CL becaues JOOF plays harder and less straight up psy trance (at least the times i've seen him). For me, I want the music to get harder and more intense and more energy. That's why I'd take Patterson over AVB (3 minute breakdown no bass = buzz kill) any day to close out a massive.

I would ordinarily say there's no way that Insomniac would let Simon close, but maybe they're throwing a bone to the OG's who are upset with Will.i.am and cheesy benassi playing mainstage. housey/electroey/indie/hip hopey is the trend unfortunately.

I agree aswell.. any other TA's want in on this? wish full thinking set times. Tyas or Patterson back to back either way would be a good lineup...

I love how everyone is arguing over stages, yet nobody has any idea of the stage setups aside from "well there will be one in the coliseum". It is different from all past events.

Anyway, I'm there every day taking pictures of everything being set up, so I can have a huge gallery showing the progress of all the stages being built on Thursday night. Select pictures will be put up daily on http://www.electricdaisycarnival.com/la/index.php

A pic from Friday afternoon of the Coliseum Stage is up in the news already, so you can see what a stage looks like when it's just the support structure

All of the love in the air is causing our garden grow! A bunch of new artists have just popped up on the EDC 2010 line up :: Donald Glaude, Second Sun (Live), Trent Cantrelle, Daedelus, Mars, Low End Specialists & Android Cartel will all be adding their flavor to the EDC talent pool.

Posted by MoChi on Jun-22-2010 01:02:

Mars & Second Sun has been added to the Neon Garden lineup on the website.

Posted by atilla on Jun-22-2010 01:32:

does anyone know if there are any TA members who work for Trance Energy? I'd like to start a petition for a smaller 40,000 max attendance TRANCE ONLY event held at the sports arena (indoors for for maximum base) WITH 18+ AGE RESTRICTION. I'll take 100 pre-sale tickets right now. I feel the plur just day-dreaming about this...

Posted by Tosh on Jun-22-2010 01:54:

Now does it make sense why time slots where not out yet?
I agree, it sucks ass!!! But they don't just not put them out for no reason at all....
I'd give it another day or so...

Posted by Axsuul on Jun-22-2010 02:18:

Anyone know where i can get hard tickets (not hard fest, but tickets in hand) from other than Craigslist?

Posted by jonmitz on Jun-22-2010 02:21:

I think any of these would be fine:

Aly & Fila (opening)
Gareth Emery
Christopher Lawrence
JOOF
Sean Tyas
Simon Patterson (closing)

Or

Aly & Fila (opening)
Gareth Emery
Sean Tyas
Christopher Lawrence
JOOF
Simon Patterson (closing)

or:

Aly & Fila (opening)
Gareth Emery
Christopher Lawrence
JOOF
Simon Patterson
Sean Tyas (closing)

or even:

Aly & Fila (opening)
Sean Tyas
Simon Patterson
Gareth Emery
Christopher Lawrence
JOOF

Really, as long as aly & fila go first I dont care. I cant stand their 2-3 minute breakdown 'epic' trance. So boring.
