Also heard great lyrics such as, "Get out of my dreams! Get into my car."

I disagree on your feelings on Patience, I find there are msny better power ballads out there. Notably off the top of my head:

I Remember You - Skid Row

Love Song - Tesla

But that being said, I Love the 80's is by far the best double mini-series ever. I bet you ran to your closet to pull your Jem and the Holograms dolls out to play with again didn;t you daff?

We need lyrics methinks...and then I am off to bed.

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain
The wind would whisper and I'd think of you
And all the tears you cried, that called my name
And when you needed me I came through

I paint a picture of the days gone by
When love went blind and you would make me see
I'd stare a lifetime into your eyes
So that I knew that you were there for me

Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember you

We spent the summer with the top rolled down
Wished ever after would be like this
You said I love you babe, without a sound
I said I'd give my life for just one kiss
I'd live for your smile and die for your kiss

Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember you

We've had our share of hard times
But that's the price we paid
And through it all we kept the promise that we made
I swear you'll never be lonely

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain
Washed away a dream of you
But nothing else could ever take you away
'Cause you'll always be my dream come true
Oh my darling, I love you

Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember you

oh no worries darling! i think i'll be at glow again on nov. 8, celebrating my birthday all of my best friends are coming from school, so it's really going to be a wild time. i might be swinging home this weekend to get my hair done (i'm addicted to my stylist), and if i do that i'm sure i'll drop by glow.

i'll let you know, and yes, we must get together!

i was thinking about "i remember you" when i posted, but decided to let it slide. it's hard to compare the acoustic beauty of "patience" with classic 80s guitar sound of "i remember you" (both of which i can play on the guitar! bet you didn't know i was that cool ) both have spectacular lyrics, but i consider "patience" just a little more heart-wrenching.

and it wasn't jem and holograms, it was my little pony and she-ra!

Posted by MrSquirrel on Oct-29-2003 02:16:

Oh daff I have an answer to an earlier q of yours.

I will be in DC on Saturday and possibly be in the area (might go down to Richmond and hang out with my step brother too) for a couple days. I am buying my step-mom's car and am flying out to pick it up and drive it back this weekend.

Further update-age will be forthcoming when I get back from sunny Fort Wayne, Indiana on either Thursday night or Friday.

I am going to have to start comparison shopping for which Alpine CD player I am going to get though...no cd in this car yet

I paid 40 dollars for my scanner and it is very nice. I don;t know of any digital cameras for 40 dollars out there....or I would have one

Women and shoes....(shakes head)...

The only way I would let you buy those shoes is for nekkid pics with the shoes on. And for that youd need a digi cam anyways.

Posted by MrSquirrel on Oct-29-2003 03:31:

Bah it is 9:30 and I am thinking of gettin ready to go to bed

But I have to be at work by 6:30 so we can get on the road to Ft. Wayne early. 4 hours riding in a Ryder truck so we can install some crazy ass giant animal cutouts in a church.

Sigh.....at least I get paid well....mayeb the hotel will have a hot tub like the last one did

yes, i did miss that! i thought my post went directly after mebot's, didn't realize you slipped one in there

you could see tiesto on saturday night at glow -- i'll be in richmond because i've seen tiesto once and don't feel like dealing with crowds again, especially after pvd a few weeks back. let me know if you want some pointers on the area!

Hmmm....nah I will pass. As I have said before I am not much for the whole club thing. I will probably hang out with family type stuff. Depends on if I am able to get Monday and Tuesday off work.

It is, after all, a 14 hour drive fom Northern Va to the western suburbs of Chicago.

reliable transportation before the snow flies is the number one thing on my mind at this point

Which reminds me...need to find out if this car ever got an undercoating...might need to go to Ziebart when I get back as well as Tweeter.

Posted by MrSquirrel on Oct-29-2003 03:40:

Oh yeah and as for pointers on the area....the only one I can think of is the most direct route to your apartment

Just kidding...hehe

SHIT that reminds me forgot to go to Circuit City or Best Buy today and get the second season of Coupling on DVD...it came out today.

: cry :

If you're not into the whole club thing, then you definitely shouldn't go to see Tiesto. Last time I saw him there, 'twas a huge let down and it was packed. Unless it's PvD or someone of that stature I'm not gonna deal with the crowds.

Posted by daffodil on Oct-29-2003 03:50:

most direct route to my apt starts with a two hour drive south on 95 from d.c. don't knock the club scene 'til you've tried it!

Posted by DasBrotBesser on Oct-29-2003 03:54:

I don't think he's knockin it, but even for people who go to clubs I wouldn't suggest seeing Tiesto if they're not a fan of crowds...

Eenybahooser, I definitely didn't see you mention Coupling above. MAN that's a good show!
